'Anti-Muslim hate crime' faked? Telegraph London Editor Andrew Gilligan certainly thinks it might have been
Andrew Gilligan voices his suspicions in the article below. It wouldn’t be the first time Muslims had staged a ‘hate crime’, by any means:
On the night of 19 July, a severed pig’s head was left on the railings of the North London Central Mosque, in Finsbury Park. It appears to have been a serious racist attack – pork is of course forbidden to Muslims – and it reportedly caused great offence to worshippers who discovered it when they arrived for early morning prayers. But some aspects of the mosque’s response to the incident have raised questions.
As I’ve reported, one of the mosque’s own former trustees, the Muslim Labour MP Khalid Mahmood, has asked the Home Secretary to investigate whether the mosque hosted the key al-Qaeda spiritual leader, Anwar al-Awlaki, and the alleged Detroit plane bomber, Farouk Abdulmutallab. The mosque fiercely denies it. The story first emerged in a post on the Spectator’s Coffee House blog on July 19 – the same day as the pig’s head incident.
The mosque seized on the timing. In a press release, it explicitly linked the pig’s head incident to the Spectator blog post and Mr Mahmood’s intervention. It also blamed Mr Mahmood for the attack in the local paper, the Islington Gazette. Read the rest of this entry »

Caribbean Jihad: Muslim Leader in Veiled Threats over Asset Auction
Terror-supporting Trinidad & Tobago Muslim leader Yasin Abu Bakr
The global Jihad exists in places most people would never dream of. Trinidad & Tobago conjures up images of a palm-fringed Caribbean tourist paradise. But this former British colony has a long history of Islamic influence, originating with the slave trade and continuing to the present day, with a Muslim population of over 6%, several mosques, an Islamic TV station and a major web presence.
In 1990, an attempt was made by the Jamaaat al-Muslimeen group to overthrow the government and create an Islamic state. It failed, but the undercurrents of Jihad and Islamic supremacism remain:
Jamaat-al-Muslimeen leader Yasin Abu Bakr says his hopes in the new People’s Partnership Government is now dashed because of its move to auction his properties. This was a “dangerous, dangerous, dangerous thing,” he said. Bakr said the action was unlawful because it went against a Privy Council judgement, but senior attorneys disagreed, saying Bakr had his own interpretation of the matter. Turkey Invades Sovereign Nation, Kills 4 Kurds. Crickets Chirp.
An overwhelming chorus of media disapproval ensued.. just not in this case.

Turkish troops in pursuit of Kurdish rebels have crossed into northern Iraq and killed four militants, Turkish officials say.
The military said air strikes were also launched against rebel positions deeper inside Iraqi territory.

Australia ‘Defies’ UNHRC Edict and Orders Deportation of Iranian Cleric
The last time we checked, Australia was a sovereign nation and can eject whomsoever she chooses to from her own borders. When the UNHRC (the Orwellian-titled UN Human Rights Council which, perversely, mostly comprises the planet’s worst human rights abusers) starts whining; you know you must be doing something right:
Australia has defied a United Nations request by ordering the deportation an Iranian Muslim cleric on security grounds before the UN assesses the alleged denial of his human rights.
Sheikh Mansour Leghaei lost a 13-year legal battle to stay in Australia yesterday when the Immigration Minister, Chris Evans, refused to intervene against ASIO’s adverse security assessment of the moderate preacher, who has raised his four children in Sydney.
Dr Leghaei, who has never been told why ASIO suspects him, has been given six weeks to leave the country, angering the 1200 members of his congregation at his Islamic centre at Earlwood, which faces closure without him.

Swedish Motoonist Lars Vilks Headbutted at Free Speech Lecture
Free Speech Go To Hell. More evidence, if any were needed, that the violent, backward seventh-century ideology of Islam is entirely incompatible with Western democratic norms:
A Swedish artist who created an international furore by depicting the Prophet Muhammad as a dog was assaulted as he delivered a university lecture.
Lars Vilks says he was head-butted by an audience member as he spoke about the limits of artistic freedom.
The cartoonist’s glasses were broken, but he was not injured.
Mr Vilks has been threatened on numerous occasions, but the assault at Uppsala University was the first time he has been physically attacked.
The artist said a group of about 15 people had been shouting and trying to interrupt the lecture, which was attended by about 250 people. Read the rest of this entry »
