US Attorney General ‘Reassures’ Muslims DoJ Isn’t Biased Against Them
Just why do Western politicians seem to feel it obligatory to justify themselves to (and prostrate themselves before) Muslims, at every opportunity?
Attorney General Eric Holder reiterated his resolve to prosecute hate crimes while standing behind the methods used in anti-terrorism cases during a speech Friday night before a Muslim advocacy group near San Francisco.
Speaking to Muslim Advocates, a San Francisco-based group, Holder told the group that he’s heard from many Muslim and Arab Americans who feel uneasy and singled out by law enforcement. Read the rest of this entry »
Egyptians Blame Mossad for Sharm el-Sheikh Shark Attacks

How come it took the Egyptians to think of the obvious… haven’t you got a brain? (h/t TROP):
Egyptian authorities leaving no stone unturned in bid to discover mysterious shark attacks which left German tourist dead. ‘Mossad plot not out of the question,’ says South Sinai governor
Shark attacks on tourists in the Red Sea have triggered a flurry of speculation as to what could have caused them, with suggestions ranging from overfishing to an Israeli plot to harm Egyptian tourism.
The body of a 70-year-old German woman washed up on the shore at Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh on the Red Sea after an attack on Sunday. Officials said the shark had taken a chunk out of her right thigh and bitten through her right elbow. Read the rest of this entry »
US Museum Forced to Remove Crucifix Video Installation Under Pressure from Catholics
But had it been about a certain other religion, would it have even been exhibited in the first place?:
A museum has removed a video portrait of a crucifix covered with ants from an exhibition after a group of Catholics said it was offensive.
The exhibition at Washington’s National Portrait Gallery, titled ‘Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture’, included works by artists including Andy Warhol, Annie Leibowitz and Jasper Johns.
The offending piece, ‘A Fire in My Belly’, was a four-minute video portrait by David Wojnarowicz.
It was an homage to fellow artist Peter Hujar, Wojnarowicz’s lover who died from Aids in 1987.
The museum however has no removed the piece, which features an 11 second segment of ants swarming across a crucifix, after the Catholic League called it a “vile display”. The museum said it regretted “an impression that the video is intentionally sacrilegious”.
“In fact, the artist’s intention was to depict the suffering of an AIDS victim. It was not the museum’s intention to offend,” museum director Martin Sullivan said in a statement.
A statement from the Catholic League said: “To say that it was the artist’s intention to show the suffering of Aids victims – and not to offend Christians – is unpersuasive.
“Let them next invite an artist to put their bugs on an image of (the Prophet) Mohammed and then explain to Muslims that they never meant to offend them.”
Had the exhibition’s subject matter been the Religion of Peace™- i.e. substitute a Qur’an for the crucifix, for example – it’s almost certain that the museum staff wouldn’t have allowed the exhibition to proceed in the first place.
Having said that it’s highly doubtful any artist would’ve created such a piece in the first place.
There’s no doubt about it, when it comes to silencing public debate and freedom of expression on this particular subject, the Islamists’ threats of violence – aided and abetted by the liberal and political establishment’s moral cowardice – have won.
But Christians, on the other hand…

Lawfare Denied: Teacher Barred From Wearing Hijab in J’lem Christian School

Commonsense verdict highlights the slow-burn legal attack on non-Muslim establishments everywhere – and gives the lie to the notion that only a Tiny Minority™ of ‘extremist’ Muslims fight the Jihad:
Jerusalem court rejects appeal by a Muslim teacher at a school owned by the Archdiocese of Cologne; Nadra Nimri said her rights were violated.
The Jerusalem District Labor Court last week rejected a temporary appeal by a Muslim teacher at a private Christian school to allow her to continue working after she decided to wear a hijab in class after teaching without one for 27 years.
The prestigious school, known as the Schmidt School for Girls, is run by the Blessed Virgin Mary (Mary Ward Sisters) and owned by the Archdiocese of Cologne. It is located on Nablus Road, near the Damascus Gate. Read the rest of this entry »
‘Hate Crime’ at Abu Hamza Mosque? Telegraph London Editor Suspects Fakery

'Anti-Muslim hate crime' faked? Telegraph London Editor Andrew Gilligan certainly thinks it might have been
Andrew Gilligan voices his suspicions in the article below. It wouldn’t be the first time Muslims had staged a ‘hate crime’, by any means:
On the night of 19 July, a severed pig’s head was left on the railings of the North London Central Mosque, in Finsbury Park. It appears to have been a serious racist attack – pork is of course forbidden to Muslims – and it reportedly caused great offence to worshippers who discovered it when they arrived for early morning prayers. But some aspects of the mosque’s response to the incident have raised questions.
As I’ve reported, one of the mosque’s own former trustees, the Muslim Labour MP Khalid Mahmood, has asked the Home Secretary to investigate whether the mosque hosted the key al-Qaeda spiritual leader, Anwar al-Awlaki, and the alleged Detroit plane bomber, Farouk Abdulmutallab. The mosque fiercely denies it. The story first emerged in a post on the Spectator’s Coffee House blog on July 19 – the same day as the pig’s head incident.
The mosque seized on the timing. In a press release, it explicitly linked the pig’s head incident to the Spectator blog post and Mr Mahmood’s intervention. It also blamed Mr Mahmood for the attack in the local paper, the Islington Gazette. Read the rest of this entry »
