Islam and poverty – why do Muslim countries lag so far behind in human and economic development?

To say that societies based on Islam have had trouble adapting economically would come as a surprise to no one; even the most ardent Islamic supremacists cannot help but notice that Muslims by and large prefer to live in non-Muslim countries.  

With the Arab world continuing its slow spiral from autocracy into anarchy and theocracy, very few in the Western media have given much attention to the ever-present, grinding poverty that characterises the entire region with the exception of a few lucky sheiks who get their money pumped directly from the ground. Muslims in Luton the UK town where Swedish bomber Taimour Abdulwahab previously lived and studied, got half a milion pounds from the UK government to 'combat extremism'. This resulted in a predictable heap of nothingness.

Muslim groups in the town where the Stockholm suicide bomber lived have been handed more than £550,000 of taxpayers’ money to combat extremism but have failed to tip off police about a single terror suspect. The grants were handed out to mosques, schools and women’s projects by Luton council to prevent young Muslims being radicalised.

Under the Home Office’s Preventing Violent Extremism scheme, Islamic organisations are given money to stop members turning to violence. The groups are urged to reveal the names of those likely to commit violent crimes so they can be put on an ‘at-risk’ list by police. Read the rest of this entry »

Prison jIhad: Islam has been allowed to gain a tight grip inside Britain's jails

As we have said previously, reliance on supposed Muslim ‘experts’, dhimmitude and appeasement have combined to make incarceration in Britain’s prisons something of a breeze for Muslims, who, according insiders, are beginning to dominate daily prison life.

A new report from a highly-credible defence and security institute claims that British jails are also becoming potential hothouses for home-grown Muslim terrorists:

Britain faces a potential “new wave” of home-grown terrorist attacks as a result of an escalating rate of radicalisation of Muslims inside the prison system, according to a report published today by a leading defence and security think-tank.

The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) says that up to 800 “potentially violent radicals” who have not been convicted of terrorist offences could be released from prisons in England and Wales over the next five to 10 years and will pose a significant challenge to the security services to identify them. They try to blow themselves up for Allah - you pay

Not content with their already sky-high parking charges, this is yet another bare-faced wallet-raid on Britain’s long-suffering airport users – apparently made necessary by the Muslim terrorists who made an attempt on Glasgow airport in 2007. Ahem.

A new £1 charge for dropping off or picking up passengers at Belfast International Airport is now in force.

The charge will only allow motorists to use the new drop-off zone for 10 minutes before they have to park.

The airport said the charge is due to the investment it made in the zone following guidelines issued after the Glasgow Airport bombing.

The Consumer Council said it can be avoided by using a free 10-minute period in the long-stay car park.

Study shows Britons becoming increasingly fed up with the Islamisation of their country

Are people in the UK becoming ‘intolerant or bigoted’? Or is is that are they just beginning to catch on to the tricks of the multiculturalists and enablers of Islamisation?

More than half the population would be strongly opposed to a mosque being built in their neighbourhood, the study found.

A large proportion of the country believes that the multicultural experiment has failed, with 52 per cent considering that Britain is deeply divided along religious lines and 45 per cent saying that religious diversity has had a negative impact.

Only a quarter of Britons feel positive towards Muslims, while more than a third report feeling “cool” towards them.
The findings, to be published later this month in the respected British Social Attitudes Survey, show that far greater opposition to Islam than to any other faith and reveal that most people are willing to limit freedom of speech in an attempt to silence religious extremists.
