Fauxtilla fakers cried, British journalists lied:

British newspapers carried reports Thursday about the Israel Navy’s takeover of the final “Gaza flotilla” ship headed for Hamas territory but neglected to remind their readers of the extreme violence perpetrated by activists on last year’s flotilla.

Just Journalism’s The Wire blog reports that The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and the Financial Times all carried stories about the boarding of the Dignite al-Karama, the final ship in this year’s convoy attempting to break Israel’s maritime blockade of Gaza.

This was the only boat in this year’s convoy that had to be intercepted by Israeli naval forces. The Wire notes that the event could have been expected to prompt comparisons with the 2010 raid of the Mavi Marmara, during which nine Turkish passengers were killed when they tried to lynch Israeli soldiers. And about time too. Useful Idiot Lefties, Islamists, Terror-Supporters, Self-hating Jews – your ‘Flytilla’ Palestine demo has been denied:

Israel on Friday largely fended off a planned “fly-in” Palestine demo by hundreds of ‘activists’, who had vowed to take commercial flights into Ben Gurion airport outside Tel Aviv and then gather in the West Bank city of Bethlehem to begin a series of demonstrations.

More than 200 international activists, mostly from European countries, were kept from boarding Israel-bound flights after Israeli officials circulated a list of names to airline officials and asked that carriers refuse them seats, officials said.

Several dozen activists, including two Americans arriving from Greece, had made it to Israel’s international airport by Friday evening. But they were intercepted by police and deported or held for questioning. Read the rest of this entry »

..and the missiles still rain in on Israel. More lies and misdirection from the ‘Palestine’ industry and ‘Humanitarian Crisis Gaza’, exposed:

The IDF’s Coordinator of Government Activities in Judea and Samaria, Major General Eitan Dangot, revealed last week that more than 60 rockets and mortar shells out of 460 rockets and mortar shells fired in the past year at the northern Negev from the Gaza Strip, were aimed directly at the land crossings from Israel into Gaza.

Dangot made the comments during a briefing to foreign reporters in Jerusalem, in which he explained how Israel assists Gaza’s citizens. He said that Israel has invested over 50 million shekels in renovating and increasing the capacity of the Kerem Shalom crossing, the crossing through which most of the goods enter Gaza.

Dangot presented to the foreign journalists a long list of relief measures taken by Israel to help the Gaza Strip since the Cabinet decision of June 2010, in which it was decided to increase the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip. Read the rest of this entry »

Irish group pulls out of flotilla due to alleged sabotage, for which they are blaming Israel; others are getting ready to receive the call instructing them to start sailing.

With two ships sabotaged – the Irish ship is in no condition to sail and the Swedish-Greek-Norwegian Giuliano is still being repaired – the impulse is to depart from port and wait for the rest at sea, along with the French ship that sailed Saturday. This is also the wish of all those on the Tahrir, the Canadian ship with its 50 passengers.

The backpacks allowed on deck are half-packed, in a state of near readiness. The lists of telephone numbers are ready, in case there’s a need to rush for a quick departure. Read the rest of this entry »

Ah, the Gaza Flotilla again. We sometimes wonder how they manage to keep a straight face. More serial lying for Allah from the government-endorsed Turkish branch of Hamas:

The Mavi Marmara, which had been scheduled to lead the second Gaza flotilla, will not participate in this year’s attempt to break Israel’s blockade of the strip “due to technical issues,” according to organisers.

“I want to make it clear why the Mavi Marmara is not sailing with the Gaza flotilla: The exact reason has nothing to do with the government or the state, it is exactly about the technical problems. The Israelis, unbelievably [Yes. - Ed], damaged our vessel, the Mavi Marmara [last year],” Bülent Yıldırım, head of the IHH nongovernmental organisation, which was organising the ship’s participation in the flotilla, told a press conference Friday at İHH headquarters in Istanbul.

The announcement comes one day after the Hürriyet Daily News reported that pressure from the Turkish government on the İHH to cancel its plans were creating divisions within the group. On Tuesday, the İHH told the Daily News that they were reconsidering their plans to send the flotilla, citing Syrian humanitarian issues as possibly necessitating a reprioritisation of İHH aid.
