A great new-look Un:dhimmi for our smartphone-using readers

Using the excellent WordPress plugin ‘WPTouch’, a more user-friendly version of the site will be shown on the iPod Touch, iPhone, Blackberry and Android smartphones.

WPTouch makes the browsing experience more like a mobile ‘app’, with a sleek, light interface that gives you all the content of the site but with a much faster download time (up to 3 x quicker) and less bandwidth. As you can see from the image above – it looks great, too.

Unfortunately, Windows smartphone users will continue to see the same, less-than-ideal version of the site they see now – we suggest you write in to Microsoft with any complaints about this – it is astonishing that a company of this size and stature still appears unable to make standards-compliant web software that plays nicely with everyone else.
