Anwar Al-Awlaki Won’t Be Down For Breakfast
Good riddance to bad Islamist rubbish:
The US-born radical Islamist cleric and suspected al-Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki has been killed in Yemen, the country’s defence ministry has said.
A statement said only that he died “along with some of his companions”.
Awlaki, of Yemeni descent, was on the run in Yemen since December 2007.
The US has named him a “specially designated global terrorist” for his alleged role in a number of attacks and US President Barack Obama is said to have personally ordered his killing.
The defence ministry gave no further details of his death, which could not be independently verified.
But tribal sources told AFP news agency Awlaki was killed in an air strike in the eastern Marib province, said to be an al-Qaeda stronghold.
It is not clear whether he was killed by Yemeni forces or a US drone strike. Read the rest of this entry »
Small Muslim Sect Holds London ‘Anti-Terror Rally’- World Peace Breaks Out
(according to the BBC, other mainstream media and the political élites anyway).
Unicorns spotted at Wembley Arena: a useful reminder that sometimes, it’s what you don’t say that’s important:
Thousands of Muslims attended a peace conference in London which condemned terrorism, organisers say. Islamic group Minhaj-ul-Quran said that more than 12,000 Muslims gathered at Wembley Arena for its Peace for Humanity Conference.
The conference launched a campaign to get one million people to sign an online declaration of peace by 2012.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri says the anti-terror rally would send a message that 10 years of extremist activity should end. Read the rest of this entry »
Paris: Hundreds of Muslims Defy Street Prayer Ban
Quelle Surprise! They don’t answer to French Law, only the Sharia. Prayer with menaces continues on the streets of Paris, despite a government ban:
Hundreds of Muslims defied a French street prayer ban which came into force Friday, taking to the streets and sidewalks of Paris to pray. The French government announced Thursday it was banning praying outside, with officials pledging to enforce the ban from Friday.
But 200 Muslims ignored the street prayer ban and prayed on the streets in the neighbourhood of La Goutte d’Or, Le Parisien newspaper reported.
French interior minister Claude Gueant said he had nothing against Islam but wanted it out of the public eye because France was a secular state. Read the rest of this entry »
Lutonistan: Stockholm Bomber’s Wife Arrested
Perhaps she was fibbing just a little bit, when she said she was ‘devastated’ by Splodeydope hubby’s actions:
British police said Wednesday they had arrested Stockholm Bomber’s wife Mona Thwany on terrorism charges.
Scotland Yard confirmed they detained Mona Thwany, the wife of Taymour Abdelwahab, on Tuesday in Luton.
“At 6:15am (05:15 GMT) yesterday morning, counter-terrorism officers raided a residential address in Luton, Bedfordshire,” a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.
“A 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of the preparation of terrorist acts. She has been bailed until mid-November.”
Abdelwahab, a 29-year-old whose family fled from Iraq to Sweden in 1991, blew up himself and his car in an empty side-street off of Stockholm’s busiest pedestrian thoroughfare, injuring two people. Police believe the bomb may have gone off prematurely, shortly after Abdelwahab got out of the car strapped with three other devices.
Before the botched December 11 mission, Abdelwahab had lived with his wife and three children in Luton, north of London, where he had graduated with a degree in sports therapy seven years earlier. Shortly after the attack, beauty stylist wife Thwany said she was “devastated” and had no idea what her husband had planned.
At the time, Swedish officials said they believed Abdelwahab hatched the plan alone, but had support from others.
“By Allah, and Allah willing, if I take an oath and later find something else better than that. Then I do what is better and expiate my oath” Sahih Bukhari 7:67:427
” I condemn his actions. Had I known what he would do, I would have stopped him” Mona Thwany, wife of Stockholm Bomber Taymour Abdelwahab
Looks like another Allah-sanctioned liar has been caught out.

Arab Spring News: ‘Rebels’ Committing Human Rights Violations in Libya
It’s Arab Spring time in Libya – homes burnt to the ground, beatings, looting – and all under the cover of the Western military intervention and massive bankrolling that you didn’t ask for:
Libyan rebel forces have been responsible for looting, arson and the abuse of civilians in their push toward Tripoli, Human Rights Watch alleged on Wednesday.
The group said it “witnessed some of these acts, interviewed witnesses to others, and spoke with a rebel commander about the abuses.”
The abuses were said to have taken place in June and July — as recently as last week — as rebel forces pushed through the Nafusa Mountains to the south of Tripoli.
“In four towns captured by rebels in the Nafusa Mountains over the past month, rebel fighters and supporters have damaged property, burned some homes, looted from hospitals, homes, and shops, and beaten some individuals alleged to have supported government forces,” said HRW.
