More media self-censorship as several US TV news reports play down a Jihad attempt against an airliner on approach into San Francisco. In the first report, an eyewitness states that the attacker was screaming ‘Allahu Akbar!’ – but this fundamental fact is subsequently airbrushed from several further reports, where – as is almost universally the case with the mainstream media these days – he is referred to as a ‘man’, albeit one with ‘a Yemeni passport’.
When an attempted act of Islamic terrorism on a domestic US flight was diluted to ‘Unruly Passenger’, can you really trust what you’re seeing and reading in the mainstream media?

UPDATE: Per earlier indications the reports we picked up that the troops were American are true. A US contractor has also been killed. If More we’ll update later.
Eight foreign troops have been killed after an Afghan air force pilot opened fire at Kabul airport during an argument, Nato has said.
The incident took place at a facility used by the Afghan air force at around 1100 local time (0630 GMT), the Afghan defence ministry said.
The pilot was also killed in the exchange.
The incident is the latest of a number of recent attacks on foreigners by Afghan security personnel. Read the rest of this entry »

Muslim Soldier Goes on Rampage at US Army Base – 13 Dead
UPDATED 06/11/09: Further video above. Ex-colleague talks about Major Nidal Malik Hasan. It seems certain now that this atrocity was an act of Jihad and not some one-off, isolated act of lunacy (as it will no doubt be presented as by CAIR and the Muslim apologist community):
Twelve people have been killed and 31 injured in a shooting at the Fort Hood military base in Texas, the commander there has said.
Lt Gen Bob Cone said the shooter had been killed in the incident and two suspects arrested. All were American soldiers. The base is locked down.
Lt Gen Cone said the motive for the shooting was not known. One of the dead was a policeman, others were soldiers.
President Barack Obama described it as “a horrific outburst of violence”. Read the rest of this entry »
