The Price of Sharia: What kind of 'law' permits this savagery?

Memo to long time Islamic finance fan Gordon Brown: you can’t pick and chose with Sharia:

A 13-year-old Saudi schoolgirl is to be given 90 lashes in front of her classmates after she was caught with a mobile camera phone.The girl, who has not been named, was also sentenced to two months in jail by a court in the eastern city of Jubail.

She had assaulted her headmistress after being caught with the gadget which is banned in girl schools, said Al-Watan, a Saudi newspaper. The kingdom’s use of such punishments has been widely condemned by human rights organisations. Three years ago 16 schoolchildren, aged between 12 and 18, were each sentenced to between 300 and 500 lashes for being aggressive to a teacher.

Under Saudi’s Sharia or Islamic law, flogging is mandatory for a number of moral offences such as adultery or being alone in the company of an unrelated person of the opposite sex. But it can also be used at the discretion of judges as an alternative or in addition to other punishments. Read the rest of this entry »

Under constant threat: Chaldean church in Mosul, Iraq after bombing in 2004

Following on from our report on the persecution of Christians by Iraqi Muslims the other day, when it comes to depraved violence against non-Muslims in Muslim countries is concerned, Islamists seldom disappoint. And, as usual with the anti-Christian aspect of  Jihad, the Western mainstream media is virtually silent:

The Chaldean Church of St. George and Syriac Orthodox Church of St. Thomas hit. One bomb was hidden in a cart carrying vegetables. The explosion killed a Chaldean Christian and two Muslims. Public Spectacle: al-Shabaab savages directing ghoulish execution 'audience'

The logical extension of Islamic Sharia society:

A Somali adulterer has been stoned to death by Islamic fundamentalists, a fate awaiting his lover once she gives birth, an official says.

The BBC reported Friday Abas Hussein Abdirahman, 33, was killed in front of about 300 people in Merca, Somalia. Al-Shabaab official Sheikh Sultan Aala Mohamed said Abdirahman had admitted his guilt before an Islamic court before his execution.

“He was screaming and blood was pouring from his head during the stoning. After 7 minutes he stopped moving,” a witness told the BBC. Read the rest of this entry »

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday said that education is his government’s top priority as illiteracy is the root cause of terrorism, Geo news reported Saturday.

Religious Apartheid: Jihad and Sharia proceeds apace in parts of Indonesia

Stoning and caning are now the law in Aceh province, according to a local legislator:

A controversial bill that includes a provision for the stoning to death of adulterers is now officially law, even without the signature of the Aceh governor, a local councillor said on Thursday.

The draft of the Qanun Jinayat Code, a set of bylaws that replaces elements of the Criminal Code with Shariah provisions for Muslims, was endorsed by the Aceh Legislative Council on Sept. 14. Read the rest of this entry »

In the video above, the unnamed protester, whom we believe to be from Anjem Choudary’s ‘Islam4UK’/al-Muhajiroun group, is encouraged by the reporter to make death threats to Geert Wilders, when he spoke at the invitation of a member of the House of Lords in the British Parliament complex yesterday.

The reporter is from Press TV, the Iranian Government TV Channel. You will hear him referring to the protester as ‘brother’. The reporter then goes on to hand the microphone to other members of the protest group and allow them to make further threatening remarks and death threats to Wilders.

We wonder whether the Metropolitan will be considering any action against this incitement to violence and these clear death threats.

Furthermore, we get the distinct feeling that if roles were reversed – and an anti-Sharia/pro-Israel protest was taking place in the same location; and where the participants were making similar types of remark – there would be police vans, dog handlers and arrests aplenty.

Will the Met act on this thuggish incitement to violence and these clear death threats? We’re not holding our breath.

The MPs, who were among the first four women to be elected to the country’s National Assembly in May, have angered their Islamist colleagues, who say they say they are flouting sharia, or Islamic law.

One of the two is going further by demanding the scrapping of an amendment to electoral regulations that says they have to observe sharia in parliament.

“You can’t force a woman going to the mall to wear a hijab and you can’t force a woman going to work to wear the hijab,” the MP, Rola Dashti, told The Daily Telegraph. “This is not Iran or Saudi Arabia.” Read the rest of this entry »

Geert Wilders, the ‘far-right’ [our quote marks: Ed.] Dutch politician, today won his appeal against the government’s decision not to allow him into the UK.

Wilders, leader of the Party for Freedom in the Netherlands, was originally refused entry in February after arriving in London. Christians pray at an outdoor shrine in Jakarta - but for how much longer?

JAKARTA, Indonesia, October 5 (CDN) — Several Islamic organizations have pressed officials in a sub-district near Indonesia’s capital city to forbid Jakarta Christian Baptist Church to worship in a house, resulting in an order to cease services.

The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), the Betawi Forum Group, and political party Hizb ut-Tahrir have told officials in Sepatan sub-district, Tangerang district, near Jakarta that worship activities cannot be conducted in a residence. Muslims believe this to be just and legal punishment

An Iranian man convicted of adultery is to be stoned to death despite a moratorium being agreed by the judiciary last year.

Naghi Ahmadi was sentenced to death by stoning in June last year in the northern city of Sari, after he visited a married woman’s home in the night while her husband was away working in another city, the Sarmayeh newspaper reported. Read the rest of this entry »
