Breaking: Indonesian Homicide Bomber Blows Up Church

.. and possibly some of the congregation too, by the sound of it. More Interfaith Dialogue™ from the religion that does it best:
At least one person has been killed and several injured by a suicide bombing at a church in Indonesia’s Java province.
A police spokesman told reporters that only the suspected bomber had died but that a number of other people were injured in the blast in Solo.
Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim country but is officially a secular state.
Radical Islamist groups have carried out a number of deadly attacks in the past few years.
Witnesses said the bomber struck as people were leaving the Bethel church after a Sunday service.
“What I can confirm now, the only person killed was the bomber. We’re still investigating if there are other people killed,” Lt Col Djihartono told the AFP news agency.
He said an anti-terror unit was on the scene collecting evidence.
Another police officer told the Antara news agency the identity of the bomber and the motive behind the attack were unknown.
The El Shinta radio station said casualties were taken to two hospitals.

African Jihad Spreading: Senegal Church Burned, Looted in ‘Protest’
Africa is Islamising and radicalising rapidly – right under the nose of the rest of the world. Many ‘isolated incidents’ are steadily and predictably coalescing into a full-blown African Jihad:
Hundreds of Muslim protesters descended on a Jehovah’s Witness temple and a bar in a conservative Muslim neighbourhood of the Senegalese capital, setting the buildings on fire.
It was a rare instance of religious extremism in this normally moderate [there goes that word again - Ed] Islamic republic.
Thierno Mbeugne, spokesman for the local imam association, said the head imam in the conservative Yoff district of Dakar had asked the youth to march on Sunday against what they considered as ‘acts of aggression against their faith’. Read the rest of this entry »

Brand New Nation: 99% of South Sudanese Vote to Split From Muslim North
Is there perchance a message hidden in there somewhere?:
JUBA, Sudan: Almost 99 percent of south Sudanese who voted in an independence referendum chose to split away from the north, the first official but incomplete figures published by the vote’s organizing commission showed on Friday.
The results were the latest indication of a landslide vote for southern independence in last week’s referendum, promised in a 2005 peace deal that ended decades of north-south civil war. The final official figures are expected in February. Read the rest of this entry »
