Zionist Jooz Broke our Boat! Mavi Marmara Will Not Join Gaza Flotilla

...or perhaps the 'humanitarian peace ship' started to sink under the weight of all the weapons she was carrying?
Ah, the Gaza Flotilla again. We sometimes wonder how they manage to keep a straight face. More serial lying for Allah from the government-endorsed Turkish branch of Hamas:
The Mavi Marmara, which had been scheduled to lead the second Gaza flotilla, will not participate in this year’s attempt to break Israel’s blockade of the strip “due to technical issues,” according to organisers.
“I want to make it clear why the Mavi Marmara is not sailing with the Gaza flotilla: The exact reason has nothing to do with the government or the state, it is exactly about the technical problems. The Israelis, unbelievably [Yes. - Ed], damaged our vessel, the Mavi Marmara [last year],” Bülent Yıldırım, head of the IHH nongovernmental organisation, which was organising the ship’s participation in the flotilla, told a press conference Friday at İHH headquarters in Istanbul.
The announcement comes one day after the Hürriyet Daily News reported that pressure from the Turkish government on the İHH to cancel its plans were creating divisions within the group. On Tuesday, the İHH told the Daily News that they were reconsidering their plans to send the flotilla, citing Syrian humanitarian issues as possibly necessitating a reprioritisation of İHH aid. Turkish Concert Against Intolerance Cancelled – Due to Turkish Intolerance!
Flotidiot terror supporters IHH (the militant wing of Erdoǧanism) are at it again (Hat tip: Sheikh Yermami):
A Turkish concert meant to bridge the religious divide between Jews, Christians and Muslims was canceled at the last minute Thursday due to pressure from a Turkish ‘humanitarian’ NGO, according to a Channel 10 report.
Members of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief foundation (IHH) along with other Islamic organisations demanded that organisers cancel the “Three Religions” concert to be held in Istanbul, claiming that Israeli participation in the event was “unacceptable”.
“This [the call for cancellation of the concert] is an act of people and not the government,” Hussein Arutch told Channel 10, identifying himself as an IHH member who was aboard the Mavi Marmara Gaza-bound flotilla last year. Nine activists were killed by Israel Defense Forces soldiers when the ship attempted to breach a naval blockade on Gaza in May of last year. Read the rest of this entry »
Thousands Protest Turkish Internet Censorship Bid

Even the word 'forbidden' is forbidden: Thousands of Turks protesting the latest internet censorship moves by the Islamist AKP Government, in Istanbul last weekend
Several thousand opponents of the proposed Turkish internet censorship bid, set to take effect in Turkey in August, marched in protest in Istanbul on Sunday.
Demonstrators carried signs in Turkish and English reading “Don’t touch my Internet” and “We don’t need protection,” while they chanted slogans against website censorship.

IDF Seize Gaza-Bound Weapons Ship Enroute from Turkey

German-flagged freight vessel 'Victoria', seized by IDF forces and loaded with weapons believed to be enroute to Gaza.
Whoever said ‘I bet the weapons originated in Iran’ gets a special prize:
Israeli Navy personnel seized a German merchant vessel transporting weapons from Syria to Gaza 200 miles west off Israel’s coast on Tuesday. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said the “Victoria” ship sailed under the Liberian flag and was carrying various types of weapons.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pointed his finger at Iran, claiming it provided the Gaza-bound weapons.
The Prime Minister noted he authorised the Navy operation on Monday night. “We had reason to assume the ship carried weapons meant to hurt Israeli citizens. Read the rest of this entry »
Dracula Goes Thirsty in Istanbul as Turkish Crackdown on Alcohol Continues
Turkey – once a relatively liberal haven in the Muslim world, is Islamising fast under it’s AK Party government – and restrictions on alcohol are at the forefront of the push:
Guests at the Istanbul premiere of a new vampire film were among the first victims of new curbs on alcohol that have raised secularist fears Islamic strictures may be encroaching on everyday life.
The rules, announced earlier this month by the tobacco and alcohol watchdog, tighten up license requirements for serving alcohol, impose restrictions on alcohol marketing and limits sales to designated areas in stores. Read the rest of this entry »
