'No black-eyed virgins for you, Saiful - better luck next time'. No, er, wait..

It seems that 14 Taliban in Kunduz didn’t read their ‘Blowing Up The Kuffar’ manual properly last night:

Fourteen militants died in Afghanistan’s increasingly war-torn North, when explosives detonated prematurely in a minibus bomb being rigged by Taliban fighters, police said.

“Fourteen Taliban placing explosives into a minivan for terrorist activities were killed yesterday evening when the bomb went off,” said Abdul Rizaq Yaqubi, police chief of northern Kunduz province.

“The bomb exploded while they were working to build a car bomb.”

The incident happened near Kunduz city in the north, where Taliban-linked violence has increased steadily as Afghanistan’s insurgency reaches an eight-year high.

We admit it – we do love a good old fashioned work accident, but naturally, our sympathies lie primarily with the luscious, black-eyed virgin houris that will now be left without their lusty shaheeds.

Ah well,  girls – not to worry. There’ll be another 14 brain-donors-for-Allah along soon enough. Boom.

Public Spectacle: al-Shabaab savages directing ghoulish execution 'audience'

The logical extension of Islamic Sharia society:

A Somali adulterer has been stoned to death by Islamic fundamentalists, a fate awaiting his lover once she gives birth, an official says.

The BBC reported Friday Abas Hussein Abdirahman, 33, was killed in front of about 300 people in Merca, Somalia. Al-Shabaab official Sheikh Sultan Aala Mohamed said Abdirahman had admitted his guilt before an Islamic court before his execution.

“He was screaming and blood was pouring from his head during the stoning. After 7 minutes he stopped moving,” a witness told the BBC. Read the rest of this entry »

Beyoncé Knowles: forced to cancel Malaysian concert through Muslim pressure

UPDATE: 26/10/09 – Al Arabiya reports that Beyoncé now faces problems, ahead of her planned concert in Egypt, after an Islamist MP denounced her show for being ‘un-Islamic’ and violating Sharia Law.

The Sharia-fication of ‘Modern, Moderate™’ Malaysia continues apace:

Singing star Beyonce Knowles has postponed a planned concert in Malaysia, the event’s organizer said Monday, following accusations by Islamic conservatives that the show would be immoral.

Knowles, known for her provocative clothes and choreography, had been scheduled to perform at a Kuala Lumpur stadium Oct. 25. The show “has been postponed to a future date to be announced shortly,” Malaysian entertainment company Marctensia said in a statement. Read the rest of this entry »

Infidel vacation time again - which got us to thinking: does Robert Spencer ever go on holiday?

Just a quick note to say that we’ve packed the beach sandals and tanning lotion into the Un:dhimmi-mobile again, this time for a short break in a secluded spot on the stunning Northern mainland of Greece, the edge of Christendom.

Unlike previously, we hope to still post the odd article but, the rate will be reduced somewhat, as we soak up the sea, sun and, naturally, the Ouzo.

We also hope to have a guest piece or two posted here from a rising-star of the Blogosphere, a surprise guest editor whose sharp intellect, pithy output and nose for a story is highly regarded both here at U:d Towers and elsewhere.
