Great example of reverse lawfare – Muslims seem endlessly to be suing the kuffar for something or other – this dramatic turning of the tables by long-suffering Israelis is certainly something we’d like to see more of:

A group of 91 victims of Hizbullah-fired Katyusha missiles in the Second Lebanon War have filed a $1.2 billion lawsuit in a U.S. federal court, charging that the Qatar-based Al Jazeera network’s war coverage aided the terrorist group.

The plaintiffs are family members who were wounded or are relatives of victims of the rockets that rained down on northern Israel for 34 days in the summer of 2006. The Kaplan vs. Al Jazeera suit seeks compensatory and punitive damages. Read the rest of this entry »

 Inmate beat up jailer in halal food row

An inmate who viciously beat up a prison officer after a row over how his food was cooked has been given an extended jail sentence.

Alec Walker 49, hurled abuse at officer David Larsen after he complained his halal meal had been incorrectly served to him at Forest Bank prison in Salford.

Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court heard that Walker was escorted back to his cell, where he told the officer: “Come on then. You and me, now.” Read the rest of this entry »

As we’ve reported in the past, Islamists and their enablers often use Britain’s highly accessible and liberal legal system to stifle free speech and generally bully the rest of us. Now this ease of access, together with our broad and complex defamation laws, are allowing a ridiculous and entirely foreign legal battle to be fought in British courts:

Approximately 95,000 descendants of Mohammed are preparing to sue 10 newspapers for publishing “blasphemous” cartoons of the prophet. Faisal Yamani, a Saudi lawyer acting for the descendants, claims that the cartoons – which first appeared in 2005 and caused violent protests by Muslims around the world – are defamatory.

One of the 12 cartoons depicts Mohammed wearing a bomb-shaped turban.

The Sunday Times said that although the cartoons were published by Danish newspapers, Mr Yamani plans to pursue legal action in England, where libel laws are weighted towards the plaintiff.

As Mohammed married his child bride, Aisha bint Abu Bakr, when she was only six years old – and consummated the marriage when she was nine – we can’t help wondering, if it is possible for the Religion of the Perpetually Offended™ to apply the present-day laws of a modern non-Muslim foreign country to defend the reputation of a long-dead Islamic prophet, whether a similar number of Aisha’s descendants shouldn’t also get together and bring a private action against the Sayyids for their ancestor’s fully-documented unlawful sex with a minor?

Federal immigration officials say there’s little they can do to stop child brides from being sponsored into Canada by much older husbands who wed them in arranged marriages abroad.

Top immigration officials in Canada and Pakistan say all they can do is reject the sponsorships of husbands trying to bring their child-brides to Canada. The men have to reapply when the bride turns 16.

The marriages are permitted under Sharia Law [with the exemplar being the Prophet Mohammed himself-Ed.]

Have Muslims been exempted from the death penalty in the United States?

It appears even America is not immune to the disease of dhimmitude and cultural cringe towards Islam, a phenomenon that is infecting judiciaries all over the Western world:

Glendale [Arizona] man accused of slaying his daughter in an “honour killing” will not face the death penalty.

After sparring with the suspect’s defence attorney over its death penalty review process, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has said it will not seek death for Faleh Almaleki, 49.

The Iraqi immigrant is accused of slaying his daughter, 20-year-old Noor Almaleki, for being “too Westernised.”

Police say he used his Jeep Cherokee to run down his daughter and another woman in a Peoria parking lot Oct. 20. Noor Almaleki later died of her injuries. Read the rest of this entry »
