Anwar Al-Awlaki Won’t Be Down For Breakfast
Good riddance to bad Islamist rubbish:
The US-born radical Islamist cleric and suspected al-Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki has been killed in Yemen, the country’s defence ministry has said.
A statement said only that he died “along with some of his companions”.
Awlaki, of Yemeni descent, was on the run in Yemen since December 2007.
The US has named him a “specially designated global terrorist” for his alleged role in a number of attacks and US President Barack Obama is said to have personally ordered his killing.
The defence ministry gave no further details of his death, which could not be independently verified.
But tribal sources told AFP news agency Awlaki was killed in an air strike in the eastern Marib province, said to be an al-Qaeda stronghold.
It is not clear whether he was killed by Yemeni forces or a US drone strike. Read the rest of this entry »
‘Birmingham UK: Muslim Terrorists ‘Had Made Martyrdom Videos’

An example of the Cultural Enrichment™ we've experienced under successive British governments - and we're not just talking about the court sketch artist
Surely not. Wasn’t it the head of the West Midlands Police Terorrism Unit himself that said it was ‘right wing extremists’, not Muslims who fuelled terrorism?
Three Muslim terrorists were plotting a suicide bombing campaign of “mass murder” on the streets of Britain, a court has heard.
Two of the men are said to have traveled to Pakistan where they received terrorist training and made suicide videos before returning to build a bomb.
The men were under surveillance as part of an “intelligence led operation” by MI5 and the police as they discussed their plans, which were picked up by listening devices.
Two other men allegedly helped raise £12,000 by collecting for charities which was said to be used for the purposes of planning their attacks. A sixth man was accused of failing to inform police. As the men made their first appearance in court, Deborah Walsh, prosecuting, said: “The terrorist ideology behind these offences is to commit mass murder in the UK.” Read the rest of this entry »
UK Al-Qaeda Plotters Released After Less Than Three Years

Habib Ahmed and Raingzieb Ahmed were charged with membership of a terrorist organisation between January 2002 and September 2006. Raingzieb Ahmed (R) was said to be a senior al-Qaeda leader
… out of a supposed 10-year sentence. More judicial lost-the-plot-ness, from Absurd Britannia:
A member of al-Qaeda jailed for ten years in 2008 for his part in a terror plot has been released early from prison.
Habib Ahmed, 32, was convicted after being caught smuggling code books written in invisible ink into the country.
He was part of a British terror cell, headed by Rangzieb Ahmed, that police believe were planning a massacre in Britain. But despite being jailed for ten years in December 2008, he has now been released and is living at a bail hostel in Manchester.
During his trial the court heard how Ahmed downloaded a document called “a study of assassination” and looked up bomb-making techniques. Read the rest of this entry »

Guess The Religion™ Alert in Brummistan:
The suspects were detained at or near their homes overnight on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism in the UK.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said six men, aged between 25 and 32, were taken into custody in a terror raid by unarmed officers in the Moseley, Sparkbrook, Sparkhill, Ward End and Balsall Heath areas of Birmingham between 11.30pm last night and 1am today.
In addition, a 22-year-old woman was arrested at 6.30 this morning on suspicion of failing to disclose information, contrary to the Terrorism Act 2000.
Although the nature of suspected offences has not been disclosed, the terror raid arrests are not believed to have any connection to the Liberal Democrats’ autumn conference, which is currently taking place at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre.
A West Midlands Police statement said: “Searches are now being conducted by specialist teams at these and seven other properties in the city – six domestic and one commercial.
One more group of misunderstanders of Islam in the UK to add to the seemingly endless stack that’s building up. If only we were just more tolerant – and reached out to them a bit more..

Paris: Hundreds of Muslims Defy Street Prayer Ban
Quelle Surprise! They don’t answer to French Law, only the Sharia. Prayer with menaces continues on the streets of Paris, despite a government ban:
Hundreds of Muslims defied a French street prayer ban which came into force Friday, taking to the streets and sidewalks of Paris to pray. The French government announced Thursday it was banning praying outside, with officials pledging to enforce the ban from Friday.
But 200 Muslims ignored the street prayer ban and prayed on the streets in the neighbourhood of La Goutte d’Or, Le Parisien newspaper reported.
French interior minister Claude Gueant said he had nothing against Islam but wanted it out of the public eye because France was a secular state. Read the rest of this entry »
