Feel comfortable knowing your money is going to help young Palestinian kids under the auspices of the UN? Think again

The Palestinian Authority continues to incite young schoolchildren to armed struggle against Israel in its textbooks – textbooks that are used by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to teach incitement in Israel’s capital city, says investigative reporter David Bedein, who spoke in an interview with Arutz Sheva’s Hebrew-language news service.

The books in question include passages praising terrorists killed while attacking Israel as “martyrs”. They also teach children that Arabs descended from those who fled Israel during the War of Independence have a right to “return” to Israel. Read the rest of this entry »

MALACCA: The Malacca Islamic Religious Council has agreed to allow male Muslims below 18 and female Muslims below 16 in the state to wed. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam, the council’s chairman, said the decision was taken to reduce the number of cases involving babies born out of wedlock and increasing cases of adultery.

He said the leeway would only be given upon gaining the permission of the Syariah Court as well as the families of the teenagers.[could anyone seriously believe that this will be denied? Ed.]

Zakariyya Mosque, Bolton, NW England - allegations of child beatings

It seems that some Imams are taking a radical new approach to faith-based learning activities for children – whether the kids like it or not:

AN investigation has been launched into allegations that children have been assaulted at one of Bolton’s oldest mosques.

Stone-age mysoginistic savagery in Afghanistan again (GRAPHIC):

In disturbing video images, a 14-year-old girl is purportedly being flogged. She is alleged to have run away from a forced marriage in a remote village.

Just as disturbing to Dr. Sima Samar, chair of the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission? “The other sad part I have to say was the reaction of the people,” she says. “The lack of sensitivity of the people.”

The video was given to Samar’s Human Rights Commission. She says police promised her they’d prosecute the man, but so far nothing despite the country’s laws that ban not just forced marriages but matrimony for girls under 16. Read the rest of this entry »

The quiet marriage of former Zamfara State governor and Senate Minority Whip, Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima to a 13-year old Egyptian girl has continued to attract condemnation by women in Nigeria

A coalition of women groups yesterday took its protest to the Senate, urging the Senate President, David Mark leadership of the Upper House to suspend him for marrying an underaged girl.
