Take your seats for this year's Ramadan Razzies

Highest Body Count:

The award for highest body count in a single incident goes to Al-Queda this year for a market bombing in Kut Iraq that took out 42 shoppers, including 12 children.

 Interfaith outreach award:

In keeping with a tradition of increased attacks on Jewish civilians, this year’s Ramadan saw the murder of 8 Israelis in sniper attacks in the town of Eilat.  Contenders this year for the interfaith outreach include a church bombing with no fatalities in Kirkuk, Iraq as well as a missile attack on a Jewish seminary that injured 14 and 10 respectively.  This is in contrast to the Nigerian raid that left 6 Christians hacked to bits, including women and children.  Not to be forgotten, there were also a number of attacks on Shia Moslems from the country that never disappoints to disappoint, Pakistan.  Yemen, the dark horse in interfaith outreach now that they have ethnically cleansed all of the Jews from the country, managed to show that when there are no Jews around, 14 Shia will obviously classify as the next best target.

Most innovative: 

Perhaps the most innovative attack reaching levels of barbarity rarely seen in other parts of the planet was a tricycle bomb in Peshawar Pakistan that ended the lives of 11 people shopping for food for the official feast that marks the end of Ramadan.

 Most backwards: 

Obviously, this award is hard to classify.  The murder of helpless civilians can never be described as forward thinking, however some acts show a mentality that one cannot help but classify as “pre-modern.”  The most backwards award this year will be shared between two groups: to Nigerian Islamists who killed 4 people while watching television in their own homes as well as the 4 killed in an attack on an Iraqi liquor store.

 Youngest victim:

Sometimes there is a lag between the information from an attack and the report in media outlets, so this one may have to be revised.  The youngest victim at press time was a 3 year old in Thailand.

 Most remote location:

While this attack resulted in no deaths, the country that stands out the most in the official Ramadan rankings is Norway.  On the 26^th of August, a Christian convert from Islam was assaulted with boiling water and acid in a refugee reception centre.

"Ali", an Christian convert in a Norwegian Alylum Reception Centre, feels the peace of Islam

A an ex-Muslim Convert to Christianity was attacked with boiling water and acid by Muslims at an ‘asylum reception centre’ in Norway on Friday.

“Ali” (Not his real name), an Asylum seeker in an immigration centre in Jaeren, Norway, had boiling water poured over him after he converted to Christianity and would not comply with Ramadan fasting rules. He and the other converts at the centre now fear for their lives

If you do not return to Islam, we will kill you” was the message from the other asylum seekers at the Asylum Reception in Hå, in the Jaeren region of Norway . He refuses to disclose his real name for fear of further reprisals from them. This is also why he is pictured face down in the image above.

If Afghan authorities found out about the incident and he were to be subsequently deported he risks being sentenced to death by stoning, he claims. Read the rest of this entry »

..we must admit we hadn’t noticed this (not exactly being avid readers of The Guardian, the British Lefties’ bible), so props to Islam in Europe for sharing.

For ourselves, however, we always tend to find much more in-depth, accurate and informative coverage of Islam’s ‘holiest month’ than the Guardian provides, over at TRoP:

The Religion of Peace website diligently catalogues the daily atrocities carried out in the name of Islam. There is always a sharp uptick in these religious activities during the 'holy month' of Ramadan (or 'Bombadan' as we prefer to call it)

A young man of 17 years was found tied up in an apartment in Miramas, Bouches-du-Rhone. He was reportedly assaulted by a family member for failing to comply with the fast of Ramadan.

The youth was found tied up in an apartment in Miramas (Bouches-du-Rhône), Sunday evening about 22 hours. Rescue, police and firefighters responded after being alerted by neighbours, who were concerned about groans emanating from the house. A water leak was also observed from the apartment below.

Rescuers found the teenager with his wrists and ankles shackled. His body showed signs of beatings.

The victim then told investigators he was struck by a family member for failing to comply with the fast of Ramadan, which began on Monday 1st August. RMC said that the assailant at the root of violence is the brother of that young person. The victim’s family also accused the young man of regular misconduct, such as consumption of cannabis resin. The family, of Algerian origin, were be seen as “very strict” in the neighborhood [surely you mean 'pious'? - Ed].

The victim himself was born in Algiers and is of French nationality. The violent treatment he suffered justified the prescription of 15 days of temporary total incapacity (ITT) by the doctor on duty who had tested the adolescent.

Although it will inevitably be argued by the usual chorus of apologists that this was an ‘isolated incident™’, there is only one religion that incites and offers myriad excuses for Muslim families to turn on themselves.

The Intifada has a somewhat mixed record on workplace Health & Safety matters

Palestinian sources reported Thursday that a Hamas operative was killed overnight in a massive explosion at his Rafah home.

Hamas security forces in Gaza are said to be investigating the circumstances of the blast. The man was most likely killed while preparing an explosive device.

Although clearly failing to grasp the peaceful message of Ramadan, We can only express our sincere hope that the level of attention to workplace safety demonstrated by this Hamas terrorist is also emulated as an example of best practice by Britain’s rioting community.
