Palestinians in Gaza have acquired anti-aircraft and anti-tank rockets from Libya during its six-month civil war, enlarging but not significantly improving their arsenal, Israeli officials said on Monday.

While the rebellion against Muammar Gadhafi has stirred concern abroad about the fate of Libya’s ageing chemical weapons stockpiles, Israel has no indication Hamas or other Palestinian factions have sought these, the officials said.

Instead, Israeli officials have detected an inflow of SA-7 anti-aircraft missiles and rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), said one official, describing an overland supply route that opened up between eastern Libya – after it fell to the rebels – and the Gaza Strip via Egypt. A banned extremist who made a mockery of Britain’s border controls is now likely to pocket £5,000 in compensation because immigration officials could not speak his language.

The High Court ruled yesterday that Sheikh Raed Salah, described as a ‘virulent anti-Semite’ in the Commons, could claim compensation for unlawful detention by immigration officers.

They had seized the pro-Palestine hardliner – who should never have been allowed into Britain in the first place – to have him deported. Killing, maiming babies and children – it’s just how they roll in Ramallah:

A young Jewish boy was wounded in a hail of sharp-edged rocks hurled by PA Arabs in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Maale Zeitim, on the Mount of Olives. The boy received medical care at the scene, while Israel Police began searching the area for the attackers.

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas returned to a hero’s welcome in Ramallah earlier in the day Sunday after demanding the United Nations Security Council recognize the PA as a sovereign nation and grant the entity “full membership” in the international body. He announced to the thousands of cheering Arabs that he was launching the “Palestinian Spring” — claiming it would be one of “non-violent means” — a short-lived claim, it seems – to cement the PA’s claims to all of Judea, Samaria and parts of Jerusalem restored to Israel’s capital in the 1967 Six Day War. Iranian ambassador to Egypt He's only saying what the rest of the Ummah is thinking

Western diplomatic efforts aimed at heading off a United Nations resolution on Palestine statehood appear to be making little or no progress. The United States and other allies are trying to find a way to push Palestinians back into direct peace talks with Israel, but those efforts have been rejected.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas complained that “all hell has broken out against us” over the UN effort, but that there was no turning back from the present course.

That course, Iran’s ambassador to Egypt said in a weekend interview, was merely one stage in a broader effort. The push for full membership of Palestine as a UN member state “is a step towards wiping out Israel,” said Ambassador Mojtaba Amani in an interview with Al-Watan al-Arabi. “But the Palestinians must that follow a correct example and complete all the measures to prevent the Zionist Entity from depriving them their rights.”

This is no embarrassing slip of the tongue. Despite claims to the contrary and increasingly shaky-looking ‘peace treaties’, (see ‘Hudna’ in our Lexicon of Jihad) Every single one of Israel’s Islamic neighbours – including ‘Palestine’ – is predicated on nothing less than the annihilation of the Jewish state, the only advanced democracy in the Middle East.

And they have no better friends with which to accomplish it than the next-to-useless dhimmis at the United Nations.
