When Thilo Sarrazin, a German banker previously mentioned on Un:dhimmi here, commented about the status of immigrant groups in Germany, he drew a lot of criticism and started a firestorm of debate.  On the one hand, his proclamation that Jews have a “Jewish gene” hearkens back to the dark days of Nazism, and the response was understandably negative.  I am not a biologist, but I doubt that this “gene” exists. If he meant to say that the Jewish people are genetically linked to one another, then that would at least make sense.  It’s possible that his phraseology was just a little off.

Mr. Sarrazin also commented about the resistance of Muslims to integrate into German society and their propensity towards violence, and in those two things he was right on the money.  The BBC News quotes him as saying  “most of the cultural and economic problems are concentrated in a group of the five to six million immigrants from Muslim countries.”  I would like to find statistics on that, but have not been able to nail them down as yet.

BERLIN — When a German banker and former government official spoke publicly about a unique “Jewish gene,” when he attacked Islam as a source of violence and stunted development, when he espoused genetic theories that evoked the fright of the Nazi past, the political leadership here quickly condemned him as racist and called for him to be fired.

But Thilo Sarrazin, an executive with the central bank, or Bundesbank, and former senator of finance from Berlin, has not emerged as the marginalized hate-monger the initial condemnation foreshadowed. His book, “Germany Does Away With Itself,” which laments the growing number of Muslim immigrants, arguing they are “dumbing down” society, was released Monday and is already in its fourth printing, with sales expected to exceed 150,000 copies, according to his publisher. What happened the last time someone tried to build a Christian Church in Modern, Progressive Malaysia™

The AINA” Eastern Christian site exposes the hypocrites and their fallacious arguments in an excellent piece this morning:

Egyptians, Muslims and Christians alike, are closely watching the controversy associated with the Ground Zero Mosque project, though for different reasons. The Egyptian media is giving this issue full coverage with articles mostly accusing Americans of Islamophobia, and supporting Muslims to hold on to their rights to build a mosque anywhere as guaranteed by the US constitution, regardless of what Americans think.

On the other hand, some influential Muslims rejected the idea of a Mosque near Ground Zero only on grounds that it would backfire on Islam, by connecting it to the 9/11 events. Dr. AbdelMotey Bayoumi, a member of Al Azhar’s Islamic Research Academy, believes it could be a “Zionist conspiracy” to harm Islam. Read the rest of this entry »

The congregation of the HKBP Filadelfia church in Bekasi, West Java, demanded justice from the National Police after a fifth attack by the Islamic Community Forum (FUI) left more than a dozen people injured on Sunday.

Call out the National Guard: Clarkson dared to make a joking remark about Burkas

Wah. There Is no Fun in Islam* Alert:

Jeremy Clarkson has joined the debate on whether burkas should be permitted in Britain in his own inimitable style.

The outspoken presenter provoked a flurry of complaints after telling viewers of Top Gear on Sunday night that he had seen a Muslim woman wearing sexy underwear beneath her burka.

Clarkson had been discussing the best way to stop drivers being distracted by female pedestrians, along with co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May.

Faeeza Vaid, co-ordinator at the Muslim Women’s Network, said: ‘The debate surrounding the burka is a serious issue which shouldn’t be publicly joked about. Rather than joking about it, we should be having serious dialogue.’

Apparently, humourless, more-PC-than-thou ’singer’ Lily Allen also complained on her Twitter Page about the remark – which makes it all good with us. Full story at the Mail.

Some Muslim bus drivers are refusing entry to blind passengers with guide dogs as Islam teaches them t believe that the animals are 'unclean'

Blind passengers are being ordered off buses or refused taxi rides because Muslim drivers or passengers object to their ‘unclean’ guide dogs.

One pensioner, a cancer sufferer, told how had twice been confronted by drivers and asked to get off the bus because of his guide dog, and had also faced hostility at a hospital and in a supermarket over the animal.

The problem [of Muslims refusal] to carry guide dogs on religious grounds, has become so widespread that the matter was raised in the House of Lords last week, prompting transport minister Norman Baker to warn that a religious objection was not a reason to eject a passenger with a well-behaved guide dog.
