The outfit worn by European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton to the nuclear talks in Istanbul this weekend appeared too revealing for the sensibilities of Iranian media – who sought to correct the faux pas by censoring her neckline in front page photographs, British newspaper The Telegraph reported Tuesday. We almost fell off our chairs this morning when we saw this (h/t Pamela):

Ladies and Gentlemen, we present the American élite – Princeton University students, protesting about their latest cause celèbre, er, hummus; purportedly made by Israelis (but which actually isn’t).

In scenes redolent of the ‘takeover’ of a supermarket by lefty British charity ‘War on Want’ in London earlier this year (except there at least the girls were prettier), these campus Jihadists, programmed by their left-wing professors and the proliferation of Islamist money that slushes around Western universities, manage to betray their complete ignorance of the Israel/Palestine situation and make themselves look stupid at the same time.

Yet what is even more cringe-worthy (and believe us, you will cringe) than this embarrassing demonstration of ignorance, racism and ugliness – is the irony. Oh, the sweet, delicious, eye-watering irony..

The irony of the fact that in any Sharia state, not only would these young women not even be allowed on the streets without covering themselves, but they would be likely, as ‘out’ homosexuals, to face summary public execution.

Furthermore, the only Middle East state where they could behave in this way without fear of retribution, is…wait for it.. Israel.

Embarrassing. Anyway, we’re off to stock up on some more tasty Sabra Hummus. Happy Saturday.
