‘Wrong Kind of Muslim’ Alert:
At least six people have died and 10 have been injured in a bomb attack on the edge of the Iraqi city of Karbala. Authorities said that the blast took place at a car park filled with buses carrying Shia pilgrims to the holy city.
In a separate incident, Iraqi police have said that two roadside bombs exploded in the capital, Baghdad. Two officials were killed in one bomb attack and at least eight were injured in the second.
A brigadier general who worked in the Council of Ministers was killed and in the second blast, in Gazaliya, northern Baghdad, an officer died. Read the rest of this entry »

The UN refugee agency says thousands of Iraqi Christians are fleeing from central provinces of the country.
They are seeking refuge in the relatively safe Kurdish-controlled region in the north.
The UN High Commission for Refugees said about 1,000 families have left Baghdad and Mosul province since an attack on a church left 68 people dead. Read the rest of this entry »

The 9th of November is usually set aside as a date of remembrance for victims of Kristallnacht, an organized anti-Jewish pogrom in Germany and Austria that is often seen as a prelude to the Holocaust. But most are unaware that it wasn’t the only one.
A lesson for those who think Muslim Jew hatred began in 1948:
The details are quite well known to western audiences; using the assassination of a German diplomat in France by a Polish Jew as cover for a “spontaneous” uprising against the Jews, the Nazi paramilitary Sturmabteilung as well as normal citizens initiated one of the worst peacetime atrocities against the Jews in German history.

Church Leader to Iraqi Christians: It’s Finally Time to Leave

After the horror of last weeks massacre of 58 Iraqi Christians at a Baghdad church by a RoP mob, the exiled Archbishop tells his flock it’s finally time to up sticks and begin an exodus:
A senior Iraqi Christian is to call on believers to quit the country, after gunmen targeted a church in Baghdad.
Archbishop Athanasios Dawood, who is based in the UK, will make his appeal during a service at the Syrian Orthodox Church in London.

More than 50 people have been killed as Iraqi security forces stormed a Catholic church in central Baghdad to free dozens of hostages being held by gunmen there, security sources say.
