The palm cross on Colin Atkinson's van, which may lead to his dismissal by the diversity cult

An electrician faces the sack for displaying a small palm cross on the dashboard of his company van.
Former soldier Colin Atkinson has been summoned to a disciplinary hearing by the giant housing association where he has been employed for 15 years because he refuses to remove the symbol.

Mr Atkinson, a regular worshipper at church, said: ‘The treatment of Christians in this country is becoming diabolical…but I will stand up for my faith.’

Throughout his time at work, he has had an 8in-long cross made from woven palm leaves attached to the dashboard shelf below his windscreen without receiving a single complaint.

The brain-dead are up in arms again – and we’re not talking about Qur’an burning pastor Terry Jones:

The kind of simple-minded, ‘me-too’ mentality that feels the need to post on Twitter’s ‘trending topics’ meme-of-the-moment timelines has gleefully rounded on Terry Jones, the US Pastor, who leads the fundamentalist Dove World Outreach Center in Florida – who finally delivered on his promise to publicly burn a Qur’an in protest at the undeniable fact that:

“…….parts of the Koran, if taken literally, do lead to violence and terrorist activities, do promote racism or prejudice against minorities, against Christians, against women,” he said shortly after the Koran burning.

Using Jones’ protest as their cue – and incensed by the usual whipping-up of violent fervour by Islamic clerics, Muslims in Afghanistan went on the rampage in Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan. David Cameron will today signal a tougher Government stance towards groups which promote Islamist extremism.

David Cameron says it’s time to pay more respect to Western value.

The Prime Minister will say that the doctrine of multi-culturalism has failed during a speech in which he calls for “muscular liberalism” in defence of Western values.

He will also blame the radicalisation of Muslim youths and the phenomenon of home-grown terrorism on a “hands-off tolerance” from the authorities. Ministers should refuse to share platforms or engage with groups that peddle separatist ideology, he will say. Read the rest of this entry »

Yesterday, The Daily Telegraph published an article by James Kirkup on a speech by Baroness Warsi, in which she claimed that ‘Islamophobia’ had now ‘passed the dinner table test’ and become socially acceptable among non-Muslim Britons.

The article recorded some 1500 posts, mostly disagreeing with her – some somewhat vehemently. We posted the following contribution this morning:

• Much higher proclivity to commit crime than the general population
• Sexual grooming ‘rape rings’ abusing underage non-Muslim girls (exclusively Muslim)
• Much higher unemployment than the general population
• Widespread benefit fraud
• Fake charities channelling money to Hamas and worse
• Widespread electoral fraud
• Honour killings
• Institutionalised misogyny
• Institutionalised homophobia
• Institutionalised anti-Semitism
• Underage marriages under the noses of the authorities
• Forced marriages under the noses of the authorities
• Hardline clerics preaching Jihad across hundreds of Saudi-funded mosques
• Preeminence in the British heroin dealing industry
• Doing nothing whatsoever to counteract terror supporters in their community
• Widespread immigration fraud

… what’s not to like?

British people are tolerant to those deserving of tolerance – and respect immigrant communities that make a genuinely positive contribution to the country.

They also realise that not all Muslims are involved in the above activities. But the Muslim community in Britain, cheered on by laissez-faire multiculturalism, is increasingly characterised by the above activities: not because Brits are waay-cist (we’re not on the whole, as it happens – it’s difficult to think of a people more fair-minded and tolerant, in fact) – but because they are happening.

It isn’t ‘Islamophobia’ when it’s true, Sayeeda. People are merely beginning to call it how they see it.
