Palestinians in Gaza have acquired anti-aircraft and anti-tank rockets from Libya during its six-month civil war, enlarging but not significantly improving their arsenal, Israeli officials said on Monday.

While the rebellion against Muammar Gadhafi has stirred concern abroad about the fate of Libya’s ageing chemical weapons stockpiles, Israel has no indication Hamas or other Palestinian factions have sought these, the officials said.

Instead, Israeli officials have detected an inflow of SA-7 anti-aircraft missiles and rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), said one official, describing an overland supply route that opened up between eastern Libya – after it fell to the rebels – and the Gaza Strip via Egypt. Iranian ambassador to Egypt He's only saying what the rest of the Ummah is thinking

Western diplomatic efforts aimed at heading off a United Nations resolution on Palestine statehood appear to be making little or no progress. The United States and other allies are trying to find a way to push Palestinians back into direct peace talks with Israel, but those efforts have been rejected.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas complained that “all hell has broken out against us” over the UN effort, but that there was no turning back from the present course.

That course, Iran’s ambassador to Egypt said in a weekend interview, was merely one stage in a broader effort. The push for full membership of Palestine as a UN member state “is a step towards wiping out Israel,” said Ambassador Mojtaba Amani in an interview with Al-Watan al-Arabi. “But the Palestinians must that follow a correct example and complete all the measures to prevent the Zionist Entity from depriving them their rights.”

This is no embarrassing slip of the tongue. Despite claims to the contrary and increasingly shaky-looking ‘peace treaties’, (see ‘Hudna’ in our Lexicon of Jihad) Every single one of Israel’s Islamic neighbours – including ‘Palestine’ – is predicated on nothing less than the annihilation of the Jewish state, the only advanced democracy in the Middle East.

And they have no better friends with which to accomplish it than the next-to-useless dhimmis at the United Nations.

Egypt’s Al-Ahram daily claims Israeli Ofir Harrari accused of spying for Israel, devised to sell Egypt hair products endangering reproductive abilities.

Israeli citizen Ofir Harrari, recently accused by Egypt of spying for Israel, was allegedly involved in a complicated scheme intended to harm Egyptian reproduction abilities, Egypt’s official state paper Al-Ahram has claimed.

Harrari, accused by Egypt of being an agent of the Mossad, is set be tried in absentia on charges of “spying for a foreign country with the purpose of harming Egyptian national interest,” news agency MENA reported on Sunday. Read the rest of this entry »

Tens of thousands of people demonstrated Friday in Tahrir Square, where they called for the implementation of Islamic law in Egypt.

The congregation brought together conservative Salafists as well as members of the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic Jihad, who arrived in hundreds of buses from across Egypt.

The crowd delivered its message through signs, flags and chants: “Egypt will return to Islamic sharia law! Liberals and secularists are the enemies of Allah! The solution is Islam!”

As we’ve pointed out before – and despite the dewy-eyed pronouncements of libtarded Western ‘commentators’ – the so-called ‘Arab Spring’ is going one way – and one way only.

Israel’s tense relations with Egypt were strained further recently, after Egyptian border guards stationed at the Taba Border detained vehicles transporting kosher food to the Israeli diplomatic staff stationed at the Cairo embassy, Ynet learned Sunday.

The vehicles underwent an extensive security check, which included stripping them from their cargo, before they were allowed to cross into Egypt.

In the past, Israeli vehicles carrying food transports were allowed through the Taba crossing immediately, since as diplomatic vehicles, they enjoy diplomatic immunity.

Jerusalem was irked by the act, calling it a violation of diplomatic protocol.

Israeli Ambassador to Egypt Yitzhak Levanon filed an official complaint with Cairo’s Foreign Ministry.

Ynet learned that Jerusalem is now considering demanding an official explanation from the Egyptian ambassador; although given the sensitive nature of the relations between the two countries, the move may be shelved.

It always starts with the small, low level incidents – but the ultimate course of events are becoming ever-clearer, in the so-called Arab Spring countries.

As in Tunisia, where hundreds of protesters have been demonstrating not for more political freedoms, but for the naming and shaming of politicians wishing to normalise relations with Israel, one of the main ‘benefits’ of this so-called Arab-renaissance seems to be a marked uptick in Jew baiting and anti-Israel activities.

How typical of Islamists to prefer an increase in hatred and anti-Semitism to those in GDP, living standards, peace and the wellbeing of its populations, as they attempt to shrug off the yoke of abusive dictatorships.

How typical of the Islamists to blame others for their own predicaments.
