Breaking: Indonesian Homicide Bomber Blows Up Church

.. and possibly some of the congregation too, by the sound of it. More Interfaith Dialogue™ from the religion that does it best:
At least one person has been killed and several injured by a suicide bombing at a church in Indonesia’s Java province.
A police spokesman told reporters that only the suspected bomber had died but that a number of other people were injured in the blast in Solo.
Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim country but is officially a secular state.
Radical Islamist groups have carried out a number of deadly attacks in the past few years.
Witnesses said the bomber struck as people were leaving the Bethel church after a Sunday service.
“What I can confirm now, the only person killed was the bomber. We’re still investigating if there are other people killed,” Lt Col Djihartono told the AFP news agency.
He said an anti-terror unit was on the scene collecting evidence.
Another police officer told the Antara news agency the identity of the bomber and the motive behind the attack were unknown.
The El Shinta radio station said casualties were taken to two hospitals.

Christian Convert Beaten Half To Death, Persecuted – By His Own Family

More Muslim Family Values, as the Islamisation of Africa powers ahead virtually unreported:
On Tanzania’s semi-autonomous island of Zanzibar, Christian converts live in a climate of fear. It’s a place where a young man flees the island to escape death threats from his Muslim family, and a Christian convert who accidentally burned pages of the Quran opts for jail by entering a guilty plea rather than face certain death from a furious mob.
Yusuf Abdalla, 23, fled to Moshi, mainland Tanzania, after his family threatened to kill him in June. Having converted to Christianity in October 2010 after hearing the gospel on the radio, he was enrolled at a vocational school in Zanzibar city to learn tailoring when his family found out in March that he had left Islam.
The beating he then received from family members left him with injuries to his head, hand and torso, as well as a serious mouth wound and substantial loss of blood, said an area pastor who requested anonymity. Read the rest of this entry »
Witness: Nigerian Army Muslims Helping Boko Haram Massacre Christians
Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Deal firmly with them.” Sura 9:121
Muslim extremists Boko Haram, with the alleged help of Nigerian army personnel killed 24 Christians this month in central Nigeria’s Plateau state, area sources said.
The attacks started Aug. 11 in Ratsa Foron village, where assaults that day and on Aug. 15 left six Christians dead; also on Aug. 15 in Heipang village, Muslim extremists killed nine members of one Christian family along with another Christian, the sources said.
“They were in army uniform. I even know some of them; they came along with the Boko Haram Muslims to attack us,” said a tearful Nnaji John, who lost her family in the attack. “I can swear to God Almighty that the attack was carried out with the support of the soldiers; I saw them.” Read the rest of this entry »
Sudan: Christian Girl, 16, Escapes Muslim Kidnappers After Multiple Rapes, Beatings
“Apart from abusing me sexually, he tried to force me to change my faith and kept reminding me to prepare for Ramadan,”
Hiba Abdelfadil Anglo, 16, has escaped from a gang of Muslims who kidnapped her last year, but it may be a long time before she recovers from the trauma.
As she told Compass how the kidnappers beat, raped and tried to force her to convert from Christianity to Islam, she broke into tears for nearly half an hour.
“They did many bad things to me,” she said, tears streaming down her eyes.
Abducted on June 17, 2010, she was reunited with her family on July 10.
“Several times I was warned that if I do not convert to Islam, then I risk losing my life,” she said. “The man who put me in his house on several occasions tortured me and threatened to kill me. He did not allow me to pray Christian prayers. He even insulted my family as a family of infidels.” Read the rest of this entry »
African Jihad Gathers Pace: Muslims Burn Down Zanzibar Church
Another Zanzibar church burning – another pre-Bombadan gesture of Interfaith Dialogue™ to the tiny Christian population of this Tanzanian island outpost:
Muslim extremists on Saturday (July 30) burned down a church building on Zanzibar island off the coast of Tanzania, church leaders said, just three days after another congregation’s facility on the island was reduced to ashes.
In Fuoni on the south coast of Zanzibar (known locally as Unguja), Islamic extremists torched the building of the Evangelical Assemblies of God-Tanzania (EAGT) at around 2 p.m., said Pastor Leonard Massasa, who oversees Zanzibar’s EAGT churches. The assailants were shouting, “Away with the church – we do not want infidels to spoil our community, especially our children,” Pastor Massasa said. Read the rest of this entry »
