Kangaroo court: Wilders talks to the press after his acquittal earlier today

Dutch politician Geert Wilders has been acquitted of all charges of inciting hatred against Muslims.

Judges in a court in Amsterdam delivered their verdict in a broadcast that was carried live on Dutch TV.

Mr Wilders had described Islam as “fascist”, comparing the Koran to Hitler’s Mein Kampf.

He insisted his remarks were part of a legitimate political debate. Both the defence and prosecution had called for an acquittal. Read the rest of this entry »

An editorial article attacking the far-right [i.e. anyone who doesn't want their country to resemble an outpost of the Caliphate- Ed] and calling on Swedes to celebrate “diversity not stupidity” on national day, has provoked a heated debate in the Swedish media on Monday

Unfortunately, however, the day has also become synonymous with right-wing extremists, as these groups have chosen June 6th to convene in anti-immigrant marches.

A warm welcome to a new and very brave kid on the block – British Muslims for Israel. As I have often said, where someone stands on Israel is for me the litmus test of whether they are a decent and rational human being or pose a threat not merely to Jewish interests but to civilised values. Unfortunately, even among those many Muslims who are opposed to the jihad and support western democracy, animosity towards Israel often runs horrifyingly deep. Any Muslim who speaks up in defence of Israel runs significant personal risks. So those behind British Muslims for Israel, which has emerged from the Institute for Middle Eastern Democracy, merit a huge amount of praise and support. They also offer a ray of hope for the future. They show that there are Muslims who pass that key civilisational litmus test with flying colours.

It is not before time that a voice of reason from the Muslim community was heard – particularly in Britain – which is fast gaining a reputation as an anti-Semite’s paradise.

The world’s press and TV has been abuzz over the past few days with the story of Arid Uka, a 21 year-old Kosovar who has been charged with two counts of murder and a further three of attempted murder.

The Frankfurt Airport employee apparently shrieked ‘Allahu Akbar!’ (‘God is greatest’), as he emptied his pistol into his victims; US military personnel who had just arrived in Germany from a British airbase. He also attempted to murder a third, execution-style – firing his pistol while it was held at the would-be victim’s head. Luckily it misfired.

In a bizarre twist, it was reported that while being interviewed, Uka, a ‘devout’ Muslim, claimed he had been driven to commit this atrocity after seeing a video on YouTube*, allegedly showing the rape of a Muslim woman by US soldiers. Read the rest of this entry »

David Cameron will today signal a tougher Government stance towards groups which promote Islamist extremism.

David Cameron says it’s time to pay more respect to Western value.

The Prime Minister will say that the doctrine of multi-culturalism has failed during a speech in which he calls for “muscular liberalism” in defence of Western values.

He will also blame the radicalisation of Muslim youths and the phenomenon of home-grown terrorism on a “hands-off tolerance” from the authorities. Ministers should refuse to share platforms or engage with groups that peddle separatist ideology, he will say. Read the rest of this entry »
