Widespread looting and violence in Egypt, but the BBC think it’s a street party. Al-Beeb at it again:
So let’s see:
- The death toll in the Egyptian protests has passed 100
- 2000+-year old mummies, gold and antiquities have been stolen and museums and sites looted and ransacked
- Tens of thousands of international tourists are stranded
- F16s fly threateningly over the crowds in Cairo
- Several violent prison breaks have occurred -with hundreds of convicted Islamic militants sprung free by armed rioters
- Police and security forces have deserted the streets in most places
