Porn? Conservative opinions? Be very careful what you post... Islamic Jihad? That'll do nicely.

Introducing a new feature starting this weekend, which we hope will become a site regular. In conjunction with our friends at Smackdown Corps and The Jawa Report, we’ll be bringing you a small selection of the most egregious Islamist videos, left up on YouTube for everyone to see – and that includes children.

We wish to highlight the seemingly hypocritical position of Google/YouTube, who on the one hand utilise the considerable intellectual power available to them to produce technology which can detect and remove pornographic videos from their site; while on the other hand an enormous number of hate-filled, inciteful and often graphically violent Jihadi videos continue to proliferate like bacteria.

To be fair to them, they have to some extent (perhaps due pressure from the Smackdown team – and their own lawyers perhaps) started to remove a few of the offending clips. But as the team’s blogs and this new Un:dhimmi feature clearly demonstrate – they’re not even scratching the surface.

Why is this happening? Well, we think perhaps a combination of hard-nosed commercial priorities and good old ‘follow the money’, may be at work here.

We’re not suggesting for one moment that YT actually condones Islamic supremacism, but we do think that they wish to avoid copyright infringement claims from litigious pr0n producers – for not only showing their work, but slapping ads on it, too.

No such problems are likely to ensue from the Brothers, however – hence, no imperative.

That, plus the fact that no-one likes to be accused of Islamophobia™, of course.
