Teenage Girl Tortured and Shot Dead for Leaving Islam – by Her Parents
NAIROBI, Kenya, December 3 (CDN) — A 17-year-old girl in Somalia who converted to Christianity from Islam was shot to death last week in an apparent “honor killing,” area sources said.
Nurta Mohamed Farah, who had fled her village of Bardher, Gedo Region to Galgadud Region to live with relatives after her parents tortured her for leaving Islam, died on Nov. 25. Area sources said they strongly suspected that the two unidentified men in Galgadud Region who shot her in the chest and head with a pistol were relatives or acting on their behest.
“Reports reached the relatives in Galgadud that Nurta Farah had converted to Christianity,” one source said. “The suspicion that the family is responsible is a solid one.
The sister was killed in Abudwaq, a district in Galgadud Region, and the place where the incident took place is about 200 meters from where the sister was staying with relatives.”
Relatives buried Farah, sources said. Her parents had severely beaten her for leaving Islam and regularly shackled her to a tree at their home, Christian sources said. She had been confined to her home in Gedo region in southern Somalia since May 10, when her family found out that she had embraced Christianity, said a Christian leader who visited the area (see “Family of 17-Year-Old Somali Girl Abuses Her for Leaving Islam,” June 15).
Her parents also took her to a doctor who prescribed medication for a “mental illness,” he said. Alarmed by her determination to keep her faith, her father, Hassan Kafi Ilmi, and mother, Hawo Godane Haf, decided she had gone crazy and forced her to take the prescribed medication, but it had no effect in swaying her from her faith, the source said.
Traditionally, he added, many Somalis believe the Quran cures the sick, especially the mentally ill, so the Islamic scripture was recited to her twice a week.
She had declined her family’s offer of forgiveness in exchange for renouncing Christianity, the source said. The confinement began after the medication and punishments failed.
Area Christians had reported that Farah was shackled to a tree by day and put in a small, dark room at night.
Somalia’s Transitional Federal Government generally did not enforce protection of religious freedom found in the Transitional Federal Charter, according to the U.S. Department of State’s 2010 International Religious Freedom Report.
“Non-Muslims who practiced their religion openly faced occasional societal harassment,” the report stated. “Conversion from Islam to another religion was considered socially unacceptable. Those suspected of conversion faced harassment or even death from members of their community.”

No matter what apologists for Islam may tell you, the penalty for apostasy for Muslims is death. Whether that’s a stranger, a friend – or a member of your family.
Male or female – Islam is an equal opportunity murderer when it comes to leaving Islam. Child or adult – age has no bearing whatsoever.
It doesn’t matter that this particular incident occurred in lawless, Islamist-controlled Somalia, either. It can and does happen in the West, too – the Islamic imperative to obey the will of Allah all too often triumphing over the risk of a life imprisoned.
Exactly what sort of belief system is it, that has at its heart such intolerance, darkness and intrinsic violence?

As is the case in Islam many (too many) ‘moderate’ Muslims will say that this is not Islamic. It is a cultural thing. Funny that the other religions in that culture don’t do it except for Muslims, but here is the Sharia law that shows that the parents, or other relatives, that commit murders like this will not be punished:
Sharia law: 01.2 The following are not subject to retaliation for killing:
(1) A child or insane person….
(2) A Muslim for killing a non-moslem
(3) …for killing an apostate
(4) a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring.
And some big differences between other’s domestic violence is glaring – the father (and quite often other members of the family which could also include the mother) carry out the murder, the perps are never sorry, the perps are looked upon as heros and celebrated by other moslems for restoring some perceived honor that they lost, and we see that it is obviously ok under sharia to kill others if they fit the criteria in sharia law o1.2.
CAIR (as well as the Islamic Forum of Europe / IFE) are part of the political side of Islam which is created as a “fifth collumn” to infiltrate host countries and spread Islam, often using the country’s notion of tolerence and multiculturism against them. It was a tactic used by Muhammed himself.

If Islam be a religion of peace, then Communism/Socialism has capitalism’s interests at heart as well.
Islam is nothing more than a religion of murder, torture, intolerance, rape, incest, etc. I cannot imagine a religion so bent on destroying every human being who is not a Muslim. How does Islam justify killing? Simply because their madman founder, Mohammed, says so? Were I he I would have been in utter fear and dread having to face our Heavenly Father.
