BBC Taking Advertising from ‘Intifada Fund’ Islamic Bank

Pushing Jihadi banking for money - This Is What We Do.

Imagine my lack of surprise this morning, when looking through the BBC’s News Online website, I discovered that thy were carrying paid advertising from a Saudi Arabia-based Sharia finance organisation, which (despite its Moody’s triple-A rating and UN Observer status), is implicated in terror funding.

(BTW, for anyone wondering – I am currently overseas on business – BBC websites do not take advertising in the UK)

The Islamic Development Bank was set up in the 1973 by the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, a major special-interest group composed of 57 Muslim-majority countries (it is in fact the second-largest international organisation in the world after the UN), which, despite its stated aim of ‘promoting Islamic values’ seems to do little other than make repeated attempts to ban criticism of Islam via its placemen on the UN Human Rights Council.

See the screenshots below, taken earlier this morning:

The bank itself helps spread hardline Saudi Wahabbism, funding worldwide mosque-building and Da’wah, the proselytism of Islam. For a more detailed explanation of this work, see the testimony submitted in 2003 to a US Senate Committee here (this reveals evidence relevant to the United States, but the bank funds the promotion of hardline Islam worldwide).

But it gets worse:

Among many other activities, the bank controls two funds set up at an Arab summit in Cairo, in October 2000 – the Al-Quds Fund and the Al-Aqsa Fund. Between them worth hundreds of millions of dollars, these funds openly finance the ‘Palestinian Intifada’. It is also linked with the channeling of UN funds to Hamas.

Stated aims of the fund include the provision of assistance to the widows and families left behind by ‘martyrs’; and the furtherance of the ‘reststance’ against Israel.

So there you have it. The BBC, a British Government-funded (via a compulsory tax on TV owners) quasi-NGO, is taking advertising money from a bank which pays the families of homicide bombers and terrorists. Surprised?

No, neither are we, really.

    Not surprised at all. Unfortunately.

  • Maybe the advert should have said “transforming and taking lives.”

  • Keith says:

I agree with you but you really should take a look at the Google ads on your own page…

    Why?

There is simply no need for a state sponsored BBC in modern Britain. The only other countries that support state sponsored TV/Radio are those whose ‘democracy’ is questionable, and those with absolute dictators. The previous arguments, used by BBC executives, that only a state sponsored BBC can maintain journalistic integrity and the quality of TV programmes has shown to be absurd. You don’t need to be a political activist to recognise that the BBC has had a left wing bias for most of it’s existance. Time it was scrapped altogether.

The BBC need take no advertising. I think it is worth preserving with a smaller grant, direct from Government for mainstream pro British material.
Its much trumpeted “independence” has resulted in it slowly morphing into a
home for anyone anti Western who can claim to be “Left Wing”, a meaningless term today.
The fact that it takes ads from terrorist supporters is to be expected.

Incidentally, I heard Cardiff called a “vulnerable city” & the term “vulnerable community” as the BBC ratchets up its campaign against sane economics.

The bbc (biased broadcasting corporation) is not state funded, its funded by an enforced yearly license system which everyone with a tv set has to pay.

In many ways they are allready promoting/aiding the spread of islam in the uk.. from employing muslim families, making a muslim head of religious programming through to parrotting deceitfull muslim propagands on its reports and having on its religions website the offical TAQQIYA (lying) version of islam.

i like the bank’s slogan, it goes: “(bla bla)…restoring dignity”. I see a lot to restore here indeed, but i question if the islamic bank is capable or willing to, because restoring for example women’s dignity would cause the demise of wahhabism.
