Husband Cuts Off Wife’s Nose in Turkish village – Then She Gets Beaten by Police

Yosma A., 40, mother of six and Kars resident, was mutilated by her husband and brother-in-law on Sunday.
The woman whose nose was cut off took shelter in her father’s home and filed a complaint against the abusers. A similar incident occurred in May 2009 in Ağrı, when a 23-year-old woman was stabbed in the stomach, her nose and ears cut off and was left for dead in a desolated area, following the decision of a “family council.”
Yosma A. and her husband Mirsevdi A., 43, who is also her relative, live in the Çığırgan village. The couple had an argument at noon on Sunday and Mirsevdi’s elder brother Recep A., 45, got involved in the fight. It was reported that the two brothers beat the woman and cut off her nose. Yosma ran away from the house and took shelter in her father’s house. Then, she went to the gendarmerie in the Kümbetli village where she filed a complaint against her abusers.
A gendarmerie officer took the woman to the Kars State Hospital where she received medical attention at the ER. In the hospital, Yosma A. reportedly said that she was also abused by the gendarmerie officer during the drive to the hospital. According to her claims, the gendarmerie officer hit her with his fist and threatened her to not file a complaint about her husband and brother-in-law.
“I was beaten by my husband and my brother-in-law. Just to make things worse I also was beaten by the gendarmerie officer as he threatened me. I filed a complaint against all of them. There is not safety for my life in this village,” – Yosma A., victim of Muslim violence
Eastern Turkey is, and always has been, a world away from the more developed and secular enclaves of the Western half of the country. But recent incidents of particularly sadistic Islamic violence leave us with the impression that the increasingly radical Islamist government of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the AK Party is emboldening Islamists further towards ever more brutal violence.
Turkey is on a very slippery slope indeed under the present administration – how in all possibility can this country even be under consideration as a prospective EU member?

Allright, there are organized religions that, in a way, suggest the justification of certain human acts, usually considered as bad, “in the name of God”. But it is my conviction that excesses such as described in this and other similar reports are the consequence of FANATICISM, and that they are not too frequent. At the end of the day, and until the minute before acting, there is something in all of us called individual responsibility.
Let me make myself clear: I do not believe in a God revealed to us by scriptures, oral tradition or whatsoever, as prescribed by organized churches. However, two of my several Catholic grandchildren are a nun and a (future) priest. Recent observations of the charitable work they are doing, caring for sick and disabled persons, deserve my admiration. I refuse to believe that there is much room for fanatism in such activities; they represent “the good side” of organized religion. Certainly, they belong to a vast majority of religious people that has learned, and is determined, NOT to be fanatic.
By the way, what about the violence of so many non-religious people???

With regard to your piece – a tempting idea, but it isn’t supported by the evidence. Sure, there are fanatical Christians, Sikhs and Hindus etc. – but how many? And how many of those go on to commit untold numbers of atrocities?
We believe that Islam is different – even though we also believe the majority of Muslims are peaceful. It is Islam itself of which we are critical.
There have been over 15,000 documented deadly attacks carried out in the name of Allah worldwide by Muslims against thousands upon thousands of non-Muslims since the 911 atrocities. Where are the similar numbers of equivalent crimes against humanity from those from other faiths?
We’re not particularly religious here at Un:dhimmi – but we believe firmly that Humanists, agnostics and atheists do not have a monopoly on decent, tolerant and respectful behaviour. We further believe that Islam is most assuredly not a religion of peace.
The greatest threat to Civilization in the history of Earth, is Islam.

Are you insane? Seriously, are you? How many noses will be cut off and how many clitorises will be cut off and how many beheadings will occur and how many gays will get hanged and how many children will be slaughtered and how many children will be married off at 6 or 9 or 12 and how many buildings will be bombed in the name of Islam before you and those just like you can say it’s the doctrine– the actual religion– that is faulty?
Really, how many will it take? I don’t think another 911 will make a difference to people like you.
No other religion or lack thereof MANDATES all believers to kill all non-believers until the entire world is under one religion EXCEPT FOR ISLAM.
And, yes. .. there is an awful lot of violence in the Old Testament but this violence was limited to a specific enemy at a specific time in a specific place. God didn’t tell them to kill all non-Jews until the entire world was under Judaic rule!
And there is really no violence against “the OTHER” in the New Testament. There is some violence, but it’s not against all non-Christians until the entire world is under Christian rule.
Whenever Christians committed violence in the name of Christianity, it was actually a misapplication of theology. When Muslims commit violence in the name of Islam, they are doing EXACTLY what Allah ordered. Anyone who follows the example of Jesus– Christian or not– would practice peace, love, truth, justice. Conversely, anyone who follows the example of Mohammad, would be a rapist, murderer, beheader, child molester, thief and liar.
All Muslims are required to either DO JIHAD or support those who do jihad. This isn’t debatable nor is it optional. This is a requirement of all Muslims. There is no Golden Rule in Islam. Those who tell you there is are either ignorant or doing taquiya (approved lying in Islam to make Islam look better; to further the cause). The only Golden-type rule in Islam are rules for Muslims to treat OTHER MUSLIMS only. No other religion (that I know of) has two sets of rules: one for Muslims to treat other Muslims and one for Muslims to treat non-Muslims. So, while it is forbidden to steal or kill another Muslim (although they do), it is perfectly acceptable to kill you or rape your wife, etc.
Islam mandates that we all live under Islamic rule. Not debatable. Don’t believe your interfaith Imam at your grandchildren’s church. They say there’s a surrah that says, “there is no compunction in religion” and that’s true. Except, what they don’t tell you is that that surrah/verse is specifically referring to Jews only. That is, Jews had “No compunction in religion”. Therefore, a Muslim may attempt to convert the Jew because he doesn’t have to STAY Jewish; it’s his choice to stay Jewish. Since God isn’t commanding him to stay Jewish, he can leave– there’s no compunction for him to stay– and become Muslim. That certainly doesn’t apply in the way you may have been led to believe. Worse, if you’re a Muslim, there is definitely a compunction to stay Muslim. It is against Islamic/sharia law to leave Islam. That is considered apostasy and is a crime punishable of death.
The whole doctrine is faulty. the entire doctrine is “fanatic”. Islam is a political ideology and that’s how it should be discussed. Forget how they pray– we don’t care about that. Forget how they wash their hands. .. what do we care? We don’t. We do care, though, how they treat the kafir. . .the non-Muslim. They are mandated to either convert them (willingly), make them dhimmis (second-class status), or kill them. They are MANDATED to do this until we are all in dar al Islam or the HOuse of Islam or the House of Submission (Islam means submission). Until then, they consider all of us living under anything other than Islamic rule to be living in dar al Harb. .. we are in the House of War now.
They’ve declared war on you and on your grandchildren and on me and my children and their future children. Their mission (successful thus far) is to make the whole world a world wide ummah. .. a world under Islamic rule. And, they will not stop until they succeed or until they are defeated.
it is quiet disappointing to hear that those holding the name of islam are actually commiting such harsh actions. since when was islam understoon like that. you cant blame a relegion from peoples actions. has any of you that are attacking islam, actually read about how a muslim is and i mean the ideal muslim (that you would realy call a muslim). or has any of you read about the life of the prophet of islam and how he told his people before death that women should be treated by the best of treatment. as no good are you to people if you are no good to your wife! what an amazing saying! unfortuantly there are alot of so called muslims around the world acting very foolishly and ruining the reputation of islam, other than the media playing its role as well.
islam isnt just peace. i do say aloud peace! because what media is showing is realy a war against this word, they know truley that islam is peace and any of you that would study the religion of islam will admit. i dare any one to read about islam and say that we found no peace, or a way of life.
islam isnt a new religion as most of you claim it is a religion that completes the past. prophet mohamed isnt any hypocrit that wants fame, money, and powere. even though he had all of those and more offered. but he has been chosen just like jesus has been chosen to be a prophet. and just like moses has been chosen to be a prophet.
if religion was to be complete to human beings it would have stopped at chritianity. and all muslims you see that believe in god would have been christians the same with judasim if religion was complete the christians would have been jews. and all muslims and christians that belive in god would have been jews.
whats beautiful about islam is that muslims dont just belive that only prophet mohamed is a messanger of god alone. but also belive in all prophets as they have shown thier miracles like moses, jesus, noah, abrahem, ismail, jacob etc..
god all mighty wanted to take humans at a beautiful pace while completeing to them thier religion and also testing those that would continue on to the belife or not. by gradually sending prophets.

As a french woman, I just wanted to share my surprise at finding out how much right a Muslim woman has in Islam…
From articles such as the above, obviously chosen to bring even more predjudice against Islam, it seems that the horrendous crime committed was commited by 2 pious muslims whose religion give them the right to violence against their women folk…
I just wanted to share some of the many rights given to women under Islamic law. ( bearing in mind the non-status of women in Meccan society prior to the coming of Islam: burring of live female children, woman considered property, unlimited polygamy,etc.. )
Thus, some of the rights of women under Islamic law:
- The right to chose their husband or refuse a marriage
Report from Prophet Mohammed’s life:
A young girl came before the holy Prophet perplexed and anxious and exclaimed:
“O Messenger of Allah. . . From the hand of this father…”
“But what has your father done to you”, the Prophet asked.
“He has a nephew”, she replied, “and he has given me in marriage to him before consulting me in the matter”.
“Now that he has done it,” said the Prophet, “you should not oppose it. Agree to it, and be your cousin’s wife.”
“O Messenger of Allah! I do not like my cousin. How can I be the wife of a man whom I do not like.”
“If you do not like him, that is an end to the matter. You have full authority. Go and make the choice of man whom you would like to marry.”
- The right to divorce
- The right to possess wealth in her name, with her husband having no right over it
- The right to inheritance
- The right to vote ( swiss women were given this right in..1971 )
- The right not to use their husband’s name ( right still not permitted to swiss women, correct me if I am wrong )
- The same right to education as men ( actually, it is not only a right but a duty to all muslims to educate and better their knowledge
- The right to work and not share the money she has earnt with her husband
These are only some examples but already give a view as to the place of women in the Islam taught by Prophet Mohammed.
As a European, I can only recall how much us European women have had to fight to obtain those ( I would say basic ) rights and obtain them only recently..
I ask any one of you, who considers himself objective and sincere not to judge a religion from the bad example set by an obviously ignorant and violent individual .. what is telling us is a devout muslim anyway?
Now let’s be honest, If we were to judge the message of Jesus and Christianity by the level of domestic violence currently suffered in European countries, applying the same logic as that of the article, would Christianity stand any better??

One might tend to think that it is found mostly in underprivileged circumstances, and therefore also, essentially, in the least developed countries. All these gifts Islam has bestowed on its womenfolk.
I would have normally deleted this prime example of the boilerplate Da’wa (propaganda) which is sent to the site so often, but I wanted others to see the template responses Muslims use in an attempt to counter intellectual criticism of their seventh century cult. And they are templates – often the same comment will be sent in several times from different locations.

Of course this is a terrible news.. but the comment you did is more terrible than the event.. how a bad and wrong comment!.. You say” victim of Muslim violence” for the Yosma A. it is a husband violance, typically can be seen among all unmodernized populations.. There is no relevance between islam and such violance.. get attention please…
