We must never, ever forget what was done to us all on this day

On this morning in 2001, 2,974 innocent people were killed by 19 Islamic terrorists: 246 were passengers on the aircraft that were hijacked for the operation. 2,603 died in the towers and on the ground, and 125 at the Pentagon. An additional 24 people re still listed as missing.

200 people were estimated to have jumped or fallen from the towers.

6,294 were treated for injuries sustained as a direct result of the attacks by local hospitals.

The United States lost 2,669 citizens, along with 329 nationals of other countries from around the world, with Great Britain, (the home country of this blog), losing by far the most among the foreigners, with 67 losses.

I went to the memorial service of one of these people, who was a colleague.

Without a doubt, it was this event more than any other that galvanised the ideas and influences that led to the creation of Un:dhimmi, along with many others who felt that we could no longer be silent about the menace of Islamic terrorism and and violence.

It was this event more than any other that led us to study the history and motives of our terrorist enemies – and the more we found out, the more frightening things looked.

9/11 was not a one-off – there can be no doubt that Islam is a supremacist doctrine that requires nothing less than its dominance in the world.

There have at the time of writing this, been 14,017 deadly terror attacks carried out in the name of Allah since 9/11. Similar religiously-motivated attacks among other faiths along the same timeline meanwhile, have been minimal or even non-existent.

While we acknowledge that there are millions of peaceful Muslims around the world that wish us no harm, Islam itself, together with its political and military leaders want nothing less than to annihilate our way of life in the West, which, while it may not be faultless nonetheless provides the most peaceful, prosperous and equitable model yet devised by man; with values such as democracy, personal freedom, a work ethic, equality of the sexes, freedom of expression and the combination of secular education with faith freedom, which are surely bedrocks of a stable and tolerant nation state, especially when compared with the stark, male-centric punishment, denial and violence culture that is Islam.

Today, there are forces that are trying to dull the impact of 9/11 and its many descendant horrors in Madrid, London, Bali and elsewhere. The mainstream media and political scenes peddle the same line that there is no threat from Islam and that just a ‘handful of militants/extremists’ threaten us (the tired old Tiny Minority™ cliché ).

The evidence, rarely discussed or presented cogently or in its entirety, clearly shows otherwise.

Disturbingly in the post-9/11 era, there appears to be a coalition of opinion forming against Israel and the Jewish people, worryingly reminiscent of 1930s Germany with a large number of lunatics claiming Israeli involvement in 9/11. We cannot stand by and let this idiotic theory take hold any further.

We will almost certainly have to fight for years, possibly decades, if we are going to guard against the Islamification of the Western world and its attendant wave of ugly anti-Semitism.

We at Un:dhimmi intend to continue playing our small part to educate and motivate those who value a peaceful, safe, loving and prosperous life.
