Iran’s Government Crossing Legitimacy Line
An update on the past day or so in Iran. The government appears to be becoming more depraved and violent the more it loses the streets. We’ll let the power of YouTube do the talking with a video post containing several pieces of evidence of the Mullahs’ callous, brutal disdain for the people of Iran (be warned: some of the following scenes are graphic and distressing):
The video above will give you some idea of the sheer size of the protests and the ‘Green Revolution’ movement
Frightened Police fleeing from large protester group
Several separate reports have been received of a ‘liquid’ substance being dropped on protesters from helicopters overhead – with claims of severe burns being suffered. Perhaps it could be tear gas? If not, then the significance of a government – any government – using chemical weapons against its own people can not be overestimated
Government sanctioned murder – Basiji Government militia holed up in a building, fire at will on protesters (Graphic)
Death of an innocent. A young girl dies in her fathers arms after being shot in the chest by the Basij thugs (Extremely graphic and upsetting)
However critical this blog may be of Islam (and yes we are), we do not hate Muslims. The people in these powerful and dramatic videos are our brothers and our sisters. They have suffered a grievous wrongdoing at the heart of an Islamic ‘Republican’ Government that is turning out to be about as ‘of the people’ as those of North Korea, China and Burma.
It is time for this obnoxious combination of Seventh Century Religious zealots and a bellicose thug of a dictator to be consigned to history. Whoever or whatever eventually takes its place will hopefully heed the lessons from the Green Revolutionaries and not set about replacing like with like.
