Two hundred schoolchildren in Britain, some as young as 13, have been identified as potential terrorists by a police scheme that aims to spot youngsters who are “vulnerable” to Islamic radicalisation.

Plans to introduce the most comprehensive approach to tackling the UK terror threat are set to be unveiled by the Home Secretary. A new counter-terrorist strategy which is designed to be toughest in the world will be launched by Jacqui Smith [UK Home Secretary - equiv. to minister of Interior], this week.
In the interests of openness, Ms Smith wants the paper to go into more detail than ever before about how the authorities are seeking to prevent atrocities from happening and respond to attacks which take place, said a spokesman. Read the rest of this entry »

The NHS (British National Health Service) is to advertise free operations to ‘reverse’ female circumcisions, with experts warning that each year more than 500 British girls have their genitals mutilated.
Despite having been outlawed in 1985, female circumcision is still practised in British African communities, in some cases on girls as young as 5. Police have been unable to bring a single prosecution even though they suspect that community elders are being flown from the Horn of Africa to carry out the procedures. Read the rest of this entry »

Last month, Jacqui Smith, the UK Home Secretary, banned Heer Geert Wilders, an elected Dutch MP and EU Citizen, from entering the UK for a screening of his film. Fitna, which shows graphic and disturbing images from the various Muslim terrorist atrocities, juxtaposed only with the Islamic texts that incite and justify them.
