Like all good marketers, starting them early

Two hundred schoolchildren in Britain, some as young as 13, have been identified as potential terrorists by a police scheme that aims to spot youngsters who are “vulnerable” to Islamic radicalisation.

The number was revealed to The Independent by Sir Norman Bettison, the chief constable of West Yorkshire Police and Britain’s most senior officer in charge of terror prevention. Read the rest of this entry »

'Something's got to work on them, surely..'

Plans to introduce the most comprehensive approach to tackling the UK terror threat are set to be unveiled by the Home Secretary. A new counter-terrorist strategy which is designed to be toughest in the world will be launched by Jacqui Smith [UK Home Secretary - equiv. to minister of Interior], this week.

In the interests of openness, Ms Smith wants the paper to go into more detail than ever before about how the authorities are seeking to prevent atrocities from happening and respond to attacks which take place, said a spokesman. Read the rest of this entry »

The NHS (British National Health Service) is to advertise free operations to ‘reverse’ female circumcisions, with experts warning that each year more than 500 British girls have their genitals mutilated.

Despite having been outlawed in 1985, female circumcision is still practised in British African communities, in some cases on girls as young as 5. Police have been unable to bring a single prosecution even though they suspect that community elders are being flown from the Horn of Africa to carry out the procedures. He has for years been a central facilitator in the British Jihad – the true successor to Omar Bakri Mohammed, taking on the chief role in the radicalisation of young British Muslims after Bakri was effectively deported in 2005; after being refused re-entry from his native Lebanon, shortly after the 2005 London Tube Bombings. Last month, Jacqui Smith, the UK Home Secretary, banned Heer Geert Wilders, an elected Dutch MP and EU Citizen, from entering the UK for a screening of his film. Fitna, which shows graphic and disturbing images from the various Muslim terrorist atrocities, juxtaposed only with the Islamic texts that incite and justify them.

Last week it was reported in the Jerusalem Post and elsewhere that Smith was to allow Ibrahim Moussawi, editor of the newspaper Al-Intiqad, which is linked with Hezbollah, into Britain for a series of lectures on Political Islam. This would have been fairly typical of Smith, whose weak character and Dhimmi appeasement of Muslims is well known on these shores.
